So, I have never actually sat down to eat at the restaurant, but I have gotten takeout once – looks very nice! Will have to eat in there sometime.

I moved to Gig Harbor in 2019. Passed by the Lunchbox Laboratory many times, as I shop at Safeway or Kohl’s. Thought it was just a sandwich shop. Last year, I started ordering a lot through UberEATS. I saw The Lunchbox on there and checked out the menu – how pleasantly surprised I was when I saw their Korean dishes! Also, they had a lot of good-value side dishes. I’ve ordered from them 11 times on UberEATS and once for takeout at the restaurant. Their food is always delicious. Their Korean food tastes SO good – I dare say better than some Korean restaurants I’ve been to. I am SO glad they are in Gig Harbor. They will definitely have my continued business. The lady at the front desk is super nice too.

Let me start off with the new owners are AWESOME and I love the Korean dishes they have added to the menu. This is one of my family’s go to spots to eat, kid friendly and dog friendly (outside) that’s pretty hard to find! The food is genuinely amazing from the burgers and new Korean dishes, you can’t go wrong with anything! The staff is really welcoming and helpful. I highly recommend giving this place a go! OH the milkshakes are a must as well.

We saw this place online. Thought we’d check it out. I’ll start by saying the food was phenomenal. My husband built his own burger and I got the shroom and Swiss. Best burgers we’ve had. The milkshakes were really good. We wanted to try the boozy ones, but we were told they didn’t have the liquor license since the new owners. No biggie. Only 4 stars because the buns on my kids burgers were really tough/stale so they could only eat the patty. Maybe over toasted. I’m not sure. And the waiter looked like he did not want to be there. However he was the only one working amd the place was dead. Probably bored out of his mind. Overall. Delicious food. We’ll come back. Hopefully they get the license thing figured out.

We’ve been going here for year but hadn’t been in since they changed ownership and switched up the menu.
The place has gotten more interesting with the addition of the Asian/Korean options on the menu.
The burgers are still awesome. One of few places anymore that will cook a burger to order and can actually nail a medium burger.
The quality of the ingredients is well above average. The bacon was flavorful and property cooked.
The Brussel sprouts were awesome. They were cooked through without being reduced to a soggy mess. They actually had texture to them, the outer layer was a bit crispy from being fried but the underlying layers of the Brussel sprouts were tender but didn’t fall apart on a fork. The vinaigrette used gave them an awesome flavor profile. Even without a bunch of the vinaigrette they were well prepared and didn’t have any of the off-putting flavors that turn alot of people away from Brussel sprouts.
The Hawaiian fried rice was amazing. The rice was properly cooked, it was tender but still had texture. All of the flavor profiles in the fried rice were awesome and well balanced. Even with the spam and bacon in it the rice was not overly salty. There was just enough pineapple and corn in the rice to give it a slight hint of sweetness that pulled all the flavors together while at the same time still allowing the flavors to stand on their own as well as giving it more dimension with the added textures.
If you can’t decide whether you want burgers or some kind of Asian inspired food lunchbox laboratory has become a one stop shop.

I won’t lie, when we got here and saw the new Korean-influenced menu, we were very skeptical. We drove 20 minutes for burgers and instead ended up with bacon Brussels sprouts and fish sandwiches… and we couldn’t have been happier. Everything was delicious and super fresh. We did have a bit of a mixup with my wife’s sandwich, which was supposed to be without avocado. They quickly got it off the table, off the bill, and sent us on our way with an extra free appetizer for the road. We didn’t have any shakes today, but we’ll definitely be back to see how they are later.

Everyone we’ve met has been friendly and welcoming. Eaten here twice since new ownership took over and the Korean menu is phenomenal! The Stone pot bulgogi and Stone pot bibim bap are superstars. This was an unexpected find at Lunchbox but the food speaks for itself. We will continue to be A+ customers! We also tried a coffee shake – it’s fragrant enough for coffee lovers and balanced, not too sweet. Pricey but worth it, especially because portions are huge. We know it’s probably not possible, but we’d love smaller portions priced accordingly so we could eat here weekly. It’s just that tasty. Highly recommend.

Tiffany and the GM we’re super friendly and gave excellent service. The food was incredible. I loved the cheese curds and my Hubby fell in love with the Satan’s Tear sauce. They have great specials, offer lots of opportunities to save a buck and if you sign up for their loyalty program you get $10 off your first visit. I highly recommend checking this place out and since I plan to return I might see you there.

Stopped in for Mother’s Day dinner with the family and when the menu says grilled cheese sandwich buns, they don’t mean buttered Texas toast like a grilled cheese sandwich would have. They mean two actual grilled cheese sandwiches! Very unique idea for a custom burger. The Lab Chop Chop salad was quite large and delicious. A nice family atmosphere with a bar. They do have gluten free and vegan options as well. A little pricy, but well worth it.

On our way home from the Zoo, we decided to try the Lunchbox Lab Restaurant in Gig Harbor, Washington.

Like many different places, its location was in a retail park, mini-mall, or strip plaza; whatever term you want, Lunchbox Lab was surrounded by many shops, businesses, and other restaurants.

Walking inside, it had a little feel of modern industrial décor. I’d say close to being a fuss-free look; there were metal chairs and exposed piping, earthy tone colors with splashes of blues. I don’t know whether the piping is being used for something or only as a prop; of course, the many lunchboxes that finished the scheme set it off from other trendy industrial restaurants I have seen.

It was a lot of fun looking at those lunchboxes; it took us back to when we were very young, carrying one to school.

They had two menus, a regular one with several styles of Burgers; they also offered fish & chips, some appetizers, milkshakes, etc., and a special Korean menu. I don’t know if that is a regular or a limited-time menu.

I ended up ordering Korean chicken fried rice off the Korean menu; I can’t complain about the size; I had tons left over, even after my hubby helped himself to a few bites; nonetheless, it was full-flavored and yummy!

Hubby ordered a Smokin’ Hawaiian Burger with extra crispy fries and said it did not disappoint. That was a decent size burger, beef, bacon, pineapple, and jalapenos, and he mentioned cheese but wasn’t sure of the kind; what more can one ask for?

Our server Lizzy was bubbly with a warm and friendly smile, attentive but not overdone!

The bathroom was a little smaller, a little dated, but clean!
Unfortunately, the prices are a little on the higher side; there are a few things to factor in; aside from everything being a little higher in cost, this is Gig Harbor, and I read they are considered one of the more affluent cities in this area; They always have been. Also, the food was delicious, and our server was awesome!
The only little faux pas was my hubby asked for Ranch for his fries, and he received tarter.

So, if you are in that neighborhood looking for some really good food, consider Lunchbox Lab Restaurant.

The restaurant’s location is 4901 Point Fosdick Dr b800, Gig Harbor, Washington.
Nearby businesses include Milkvue handcrafted donuts and coffee, Menchies frozen yogurt, Michaels, Kohls, and so much more!

As always, Thank you for supporting our local small businesses, and always remember, Be kind to ALL living things !!!
