Social Profile:

The Historic Forks provides a Deli, Country Store, Bar & Restaurant and Gasoline for Tourists and Locals. Established in 1875. The Forks was originally built to accommodate loggers back in the Winter of 1874 who were traveling between Fort Collins to Pingree Hill, then over the Divide to Steamboat Springs. The original building was burned in a fire, but it was rebuilt to resemble it. More recently, it has been renovated to accommodate bands in the upstairs bar area. The newly renovated bar area is upstairs and features a pool table, live music on occasional Saturday nights, and an outdoor upstairs patio! We welcome you to come and enjoy the Western-themed atmosphere in a place with a long history of serving the Livermore, Colorado area. …

I can’t say enough good things about The Forks Restaurant! The burgers here are absolutely out of this world—juicy, perfectly seasoned, and stacked just right. You can tell they take pride in their food because every bite was packed with flavor.

On top of that, the wait staff was nothing short of amazing. Friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming—they made us feel right at home from the moment we walked in.

What really set The Forks apart, though, was their generosity and heart. When two exhausted, hungry fishermen came in—after a local competitor took over 30 minutes to bring out 2 cokes—the staff here didn’t hesitate. They went above and beyond to make sure we were fed and taken care of. That kind of kindness is rare these days, and it shows what kind of place this really is.

If you’re anywhere nearby, don’t waste your time at the other spots—head straight to The Forks. Great food, great people, and a place that truly looks out for its community.

We live nearby and have tried SO hard to love The Forks for like 5 years to no avail. But we heard there were new owners and a new chef, and oh my gosh! The food is so good now!

The wings and fries are awesome, and the employees seem genuinely happy to be there. They’re super sweet. They decorated for Christmas and it was so festive and cozy in there that we had like a three hour lunch.

We can’t wait to go back! ❤️

Great Italian Subs! Such a step back in time. Nice little stop on the road to Red Feather. Took a hand scooped ice cream on the road. Great decks. Would be a great place for a night cap.

Toni and Emily went above and beyond for us during a really difficult weekend honoring the family’s father’s passing. They didn’t even know this and just made our entire experience wonderful. These two women are the type of people who are kind to anyone who walks through the door and it’s the little kindnesses that make life worthwhile and doable through hardship. What started out as just looking for a place to eat, ended up being a really wonderful surprise. WE LOVE THEM AND THIS PLACE!! Good food and really good humans making everyone’s day better.

Absolutely a mandatory stop if you’re going between Laramie and fort Collins or Laramie and Denver. Historic, rustic, interesting, fabulous location and extremely friendly staff.

Over the years I’ve bought fuel, sunglasses and today the nicest woman put a bowl of broccoli cheddar soup in a grande size coffee cup and cut an extra large opening in the lid so I could sip my soup and still safely drive the Mad Max Fury Road that I-25 now is to get home to Denver.

Great souvenirs too. Not to mention ice cream and other homemade goodies.

This was such a fun stop! We were roadtripping and stopped for gas and a bite to eat, and it was such a good find. It was the only place in the middle of nowhere, so I was worried, but I was worried for nothing. It was so cute, so clean, and the food we got from the counter was delicious. I would definitely go back. Honestly, it beats a dirty gas station any day of the week.

I didn’t eat any food here but this was a pretty interesting place to stop at. It has definitely been here forever and the owners did well in revamping it for tourists. I even bought a challenge coin here, there’s only 100 made so get yours while you can. They have a nice little coffee bar here for your pick me up so you can continue on your way. If your in the area do yourself a favor and check out this small piece of history
