Delicious food at fair prices made fresh. They seem to use as much local ingredients as they can.
FYI – Their political and religious beliefs are clear and present so if their expressing their beliefs bothers you, hopefully you’ll take that into consideration before visiting.

Everything about this place was just right. First time visiting Darwell’s, but have lived here several years. As soon as we walked through the door, we were warmly greeted. The atmosphere was perfect for the mood I was in. The food!!!! Let me tell ya, I like to try certain things when I eat at new places. Green Beans is one of those things. Not everyone makes them the same and not everyone’s is like Glory’s..But the the greenbeans were the best I’ve had. Well, my gf had them, I just ate them.
Everything was delicious and we’ll definitely be going back. Oh and the sweet tea was the best I’ve had here on the coast as well.
01/06/2026. ANOTHER GREAT MEAL AT THIS RESTAURANT. Stopped in for a meal with my dad and they didn’t disappoint. Again, I ordered the Italian Green Beans and these things are the best. If someone has better, please add a post and direct me to where I need to go. The crawdaddy burger was the ish too. Real southern sweet tea and top tier service from both owners. I don’t eat at the se place twice unless it’s grade A and this place was all that I look for in a restaurant. Comfortable, homey, great atmosphere, relaxed and fast service with wonderful food.

I had the Crawfish Etouffe dinner, and my wife had the Hamburger Steak dinner with mashed potatoes and green beans. Both were EXCELLENT!
Mine came with several blackened shrimp on top for added enjoyment!
The hamburger steak was flavorful. And she said the hamburger was not overdone like a hockey puck.
I would recommend this place to anyone wanting quality food. Well done, y’all.

I visited here several years ago. It was the only restaurant I visited twice. Although the menu has changed, the quality of food and service has remained the same. The food was fresh, delicious, and left me wanting to come back again. I’d highly recommend this place for your next comfort food!

My family (from England) and I just had a fantastic lunch at Darwell’s! Everything was outstanding. We were greeted at the door and introduced to the whole family. The food was full of flavor – we got the crawdaddy, red beans and rice, crawfish etoufee, and the redfish N’awlins, along with a side of fries. Everyone left with full bellies and a great vacation memory! If you can, sit in the back room with the colorful lights and beautiful artwork! We will absolutely be back when we are in the area, the food was Darwellicius!

Killer food!! Was in town from Ohio. My buddy highly recommended we stop here, said it was a must stop place. He was not lying. Aside from the amazing food. The atmosphere and interactions with the staff was great and amazing. We had crawfish etouffee and smoked sausage and red beans. We were lucky also they had a large order of gumbo a customer from out of town was coming to pick up. They brought us out a sample bowl of that on the house!! Just amazing above and beyond! 2 friends and I ATTEMPTED to eat here because we went to an outdoor event nearby and we had a dog with us (we were looking for somewhere with outdoor seating). We went inside to inform the waitress that we were there to eat outside because of the dog. She did not pick her eyes up off of the floor and very rudely stated that we would need to come order at the front. Because none of us had ever been there before I asked where the “front” was and she just pointed and walked away. She really did not seem like she wanted to be there or for us to be there either. At this point we decided we would just leave. Don’t get me wrong the music, the lights, and the decor of this place were awesome. Kinda wish I took more pictures of the inside of the building. However, the staff alone was something else. Really can’t tell you how the food was as none of my friends felt comfortable staying after that interaction.
** EDITING because the chef said I was never inside the building… explain how I got the paper menu from outside? The waitress of the establishment physically handed it to my friend and I INSIDE THE BUILDING, while my third friend who *did not enter the building with the puppy* was being courteous and waiting outside. Regardless it’s a pretty place. I can’t tell you if the food is good. Just look at the interaction from staff and judge for yourself.❤️

I went with friends to this establishment and never received service. We entered through the back gate due to the fact that we had a pup and wanted to be respectful in the event they didn’t allow dogs. I waited outside on the patio while my friends entered to ask for a menu and they came out expressing how RUDE the wait staff was. As we were making a decision to stay I expressed that if they couldn’t even look up at us then and appeared to be cracked out I wasn’t interested. What sealed the deal was the patio door being SLAMMED and absolutely nobody went out to the patio to hand us a menu. It’s odd to lie about such a thing but maybe spend more time racking the back patio leaves instead of fighting on Google reviews…
