Visiting Fort Lauderdale from Southern California, we were craving Mexican food and decided to try Casa Monarca for a late lunch/early dinner. We’re so glad we chose this place.
We started with the bean and cheese appetizer, which was delicious with their homemade chips. The salsas were also very good—fresh, flavorful, and a great start to the meal. For our main dish, we ordered the Molcajete, and it was honestly the best I’ve ever had. The flavors were rich and well-balanced, and the portion was generous. I had La Jefa Margarita…great for the ladies.
The decor is warm and inviting, the music added a fun and lively vibe, and our server, Nicolas, was wonderful—attentive, friendly, and helpful with recommendations.
I highly recommend stopping by Casa Monarca if you’re in Fort Lauderdale and in the mood for great Mexican food.

Fantastic atmosphere and really great food. I love the creativity of the drinks.
I had the Mexican salad, and it was fantastic with beef. The fajitas are perfectly seasoned. Tortilla soup was broth based and had a lot a vegetables in it, which was nice. The only thing lacking for the soup is I wished it had avocado on top.

I love legit Mexican food ! The home made nacho chips and saucy salsa. I got the lunch special and it had quite the kick & my buddy got 3 GRILLED fish tacos. I love when they easily grill and not always fry the fish. I love my drink too the hamica drink. Just legit home made and super tart

The skewers lacked flavour and the rice tasted it came premade from a box.
The salsa also tasted store bought. That was surprising to me.

If you’re craving authentic Mexican food that’s both flavorful and filling, this is a great spot. Portions are generous and the food is packed with rich, authentic flavors. Prices are reasonable for the amount and quality of food you get. The restaurant is spacious and clean and has a great atmosphere.

Christian was our server and he was excellent! He gave us great recommendations. Treated us great and was constantly around when we needed him. Our food was also excellent. We had the shrimp ceviche which was decent. I ordered the El Patron which came with rib eye steak, i asked for it medium rare and got it well done but thankfully it was still juicy and tasteful.
I would def come back and highly recommend this restaurant. Everything tasted fresh and authentic. Ohhh and the drinks were fantastic! Omg! Definitely have a cocktail.
