I’ve always enjoyed the food here, but I had an unpleasant experience.
I called to order a regular pizza, which is clearly listed on their website as one of the two available sizes. The person who answered insisted they only had one size (large), so when I was confirming I called the right place, he hung up on me.
I then got my friend call right after and she was able to easily order the regular size with someone else and completed it with an eta of the food being ready. When I went in to pick up the order, the person I spoke to on the phone accused me of “pranking” them because one call had a large size and the next had a regular size. I explained that I was just trying to order dinner and even came in to pay for it, so clearly it wasn’t a prank. It felt pretty uncomfortable and unnecessary. The pizza itself is still good, and I’ve enjoyed this place many times before.
Being accused of pranking a business while I’m there in person to pick up the order isn’t professional and I left feeling pretty disappointed. The other person that took my friend’s order was a lot nicer. Turns out they didn’t even make my friend’s order that they gave an eta on also. I would’ve appreciated a call back as they mentioned they received 2 orders from the same phone number.
I really like their pizza so I figured why not as an appetizer and got a slice. While eating my cheese slice, they brought out my wings. I couldn’t believe what i was looking at. I’m not used to seeing feathers still on the wings nor a discolored-white stripe on all the wings. Then the fries were brought to me and it didn’t help that the inside of the fries were still cold.
When I brought to to the the workers attention about the wings, the lady at the counter (whom i’ve never seen before) claimed thats how the wings look, it’s normal, and safe to eat. I even asked why they weren’t battered because the picture on the website is battered wings. She explained that they have never done wings that way. I was really confused; why advertise something you don’t offer. I took her word for it and still tried a wing. Big mistake for sure! It was Pinkish meat still inside. I didn’t eat the rest of them.
I think maybe the oil was too high; since the fries and meat weren’t done in the middle. Needless to say today was the last time ordering the wings. I was charged $4 for still frozen fries and $7.50 for 5 piece wings and as a paying customer who tips on every transaction; it was a disheartening experience.
Overall, don’t trust the website; it’s terribly outdated and uses stock pictures of food they don’t have. Just stick to ordering the pizza on days when you can’t make it to Frank’s.
Prices are not bad. I paid around $15 for two can sodas and 3 slices of pizza.
Atmosphere is good, it was pretty quiet for a Saturday night.
