– I was seating immediately on a Thursday night and my waitress was very kind and greeted me soon after being seated.
– My total was $40 for a 12 oz ribeye + sauteed mushrooms + 2 sides + a lemonade
– They loaded my steak with mushrooms and I was so happy
– Cooked to my liking
– The steak was a little too salty for my liking at some bites but the breadstick was the perfect touch to mask the salt.

We are a family of ten visiting from Brisbane, Australia and had the pleasure of eating at Hawkeyes tonight. The food portions were massive! And and everything was so absolutely delicious! Between the ten of us, we nearly had evening on the menu…soups, salads, steaks, ribs, pastas, mash potato’s, collard greens, corn, grilled veges, kids meals. We loved everything! Our server Sarah was the absolute best! She memorised our order and was even chatting in between with each of us and every order was delivered perfectly! We are not used to the tipping culture here in the US but were thrilled to leave a tip for this wonderful, super-friendly professional! If you’re lucky enough to eat at Hawkeyes AND have Sarah as your server, you will definitely have a good night! Thanks for a memorable experience!

Fantastic spot to enjoy a delicious meal and relax! I had the chicken Cordon Bleu over pilaf rice—absolutely delightful. Our server, Sarah, was warm, friendly, and gave us excellent service. Highly recommend this place!

I don’t generally find myself reviewing places but this place earned it! Stopped in the area for the night hauling an oversize load. Decided to try out this place as it was busy & close to where I parked. Ordered the 18oz ribeye, potato, & house salad. Potentially the best steak I’ve ever had across the country! Great customer service! If you’re passing through the area like me & want a guaranteed good meal, then stop by The Hawkeye Restaurant!

Ibeen there 6 times now, and it been good two times only. The other time not, food was wrong and different sides portions, had to send things back, no waitress came back untill the bill had to be paid, we did get help from the hostess after waiting a while, this last time it was cold and the waitress kelp telling us will that the way always been. So at that point it would do no good to say anything more. It sad we really like it those few times. And the cook really needs to check the food before it go out.

This was our first time here tonight. The food was excellent and such big portions. Our waitress Sara was a delight. I wish all waitresses were like her! Mom had ground sirloin, and I had the hawkeye chicken sandwich. We will be coming back here soon!

Food was good and good size portions. We all got the Sunday Special which came with a meat of choice from one’s listed, 2 sides, and a dessert. Was best bang for your buck, otherwise prices are higher here compared to similar type food restaurants visited elsewhere. Waitress did well. Place was clean. Restroom was also clean and didn’t smell bad, huge bonus!!

Wife and I decided to try this place. Mistake #1. Wife ordered chicken Alfredo said it was decent but the chicken was dry as heck. I got the ribs and it was mistake #2. I love my ribs and this was so tough I had to use a knife force and my hands to get a bite. Needless to say won’t be back and will NEVER recommend. We had high hopes of a nice romantic day and this started it disappointing
