The building holds such history! As you walk to be seated you will pass so many interesting things! Take a bit and take it all in!
With so many of us ordering food – I believe we had a really good idea of the dishes offered. Steak, hamburger steak, coconut chicken, the island chicken, Mahi Mahi and more! Side dishes of tossed salad, steamed broccoli, sweet potato fries, sweet potato casserole, baked potato and more. Everyone was impressed with their meal. Meats were seasoned and had the desired cook to each one. All side dishes were excellent.
Each area was decorated with Christmas festivity! The staff commented that they’ve been very busy this season. Even on days they are closed to the public – private groups had Christmas parties! I can understand why! Between the atmosphere and Christmas decor to the wonderful staff and excellent food this definitely would be a desired venue! This restaurant is great for groups — or for date night!
Service was good. Food was good! I would go back here to eat! The coolest thing is that this used to be a train depot. Even cooler while we were eating a train went by!
We got here a little after 11am when they open. Things seemed a little unorganized but they seemed to get everyone taken care of. They had a huge group come in so they were all tending to that so I definitely don’t blame them.
Our server was great. Poor things all of them running around to the big group. Their name is Preston.
I had the buffalo chicken fingers, fries, and Italian pasta salad. It was all good. The chicken fingers juicy and the fries perfect crisp. Their ranch is good as well.
Can’t wait to go back and try their other food.
They do have a parking lot at the end of the building but it is smallish.
Food is Americana with Southern touches and all the flavors are wonderful. They have live instrumental music on Fridays to round out the ambiance. Enjoy a historic venue while passing through; it is worth it and lunches are fantastic as well.
