The reality is that McDonald’s is a popular fast-food chain, and this was during the breakfast rush. Being busy cannot be a viable excuse. That’s the normal pace of the business. Team members should be coached to ensure accuracy at that pace, even if it requires additional steps.
I don’t want apologies or free food. I want my order made correctly the first time. This interaction wouldn’t have been necessary, and I wouldn’t be spending this time, if the staff had taken the time to do it right initially. My frustration is compounded by the fact that similar errors have occurred during my recent visits to multiple McDonald’s locations.
I don’t subscribe to the idea that it’s “just McDonald’s,” as if I shouldn’t expect my order to be correct. If I make a request that I’m paying for, I shouldn’t be forced to take whatever is handed to me simply because it’s a fast-food establishment. From a business perspective, that should never be considered acceptable.
I would hope that Meagan, this location’s general manager, will look into this matter and provide the training and support needed to ensure this team is better able to meet customer demands in the future.
Get my food and fries not a full order for a large. and drink not completely full. I guess I am supposed to think the printed fries on the container are for real. Fries are always limp here and not crisp. Filet of fish overcooked.
Employees are always nice but level of service on food preparation is lacking.
Let me tell you, if you’re looking for a McDonald’s that truly values its customers, this is it. I placed a mobile order that my husband went to pick up, but the code wasn’t working. He left without the food, and I decided to call the store. That’s when I spoke with Mr. John, the manager, and he completely blew me away with his incredible customer service.
Even though the issue was on my end, Mr. John sincerely apologized for the inconvenience. He reassured me that he would get the order prepared and ready for pickup. When I arrived, he greeted me with a warm smile and made sure I was taken care of.
He calmly explained how to avoid the issue in the future and was able to get the mobile code to work. His patience and kindness showed exactly why he is in a leadership position. He even added a courtesy meal and a Big Mac to make up for the trouble, even though I reminded him that it was my mistake.
Mr. John went above and beyond. His professionalism, care, and willingness to help turned a frustrating situation into a positive experience. This is the kind of service customers remember. I give Mr. John, the manager, a 100/10 for outstanding customer care.
