Got the pork w/ century egg congee porridge and beef short rib dimsum. For a congee while it’s flavourful but it is way too watery and it cost $14.50.
While the rib is $8.50 + .50 extra charge for ordering dimsum pass 3pm. There are only 3 small pcs of ribs, the price doesnt reflect the portion at all.
Comparing the portion and price wise to dimsum in Chinatown NY, this place is way more expensive and smaller in portion. Taste wise there is no doubt NY Chinatown dimsum is alot better.
Then again there isn’t much competition for dimsum in RVA, that might explain why.

A fantastic Cantonese restaurant! Every dish we ordered was excellent. The roast duck was authentic and flavorful, the eggplant clay pot was rich and well-seasoned, the braised beef brisket was tender, and the pea shoots were incredibly fresh. Highly recommend this place!

We wanted diem sum on our visit to Richmond, and our son found Full Kee, an authentic Chinese diem sum restaurant. I ordered our dishes in Cantonese, and they had all our favorite dishes, including siu mei, cheng fun, ha gow, shrimp balls, roast pork, pork ribs, and baked cha siu buns. The food was very tasty, and there were good vegetarian options, including turnip cakes, gai lan Chinese broccoli, bok choy and garlic, seaweed salad, coconut jello and sesame seed balls. We’ll have to return to try their regular Cantonese dinner menu. The service was quick (food was on carts), the restaurant was clean, and it had an older restaurant family-friendly vibe.

First time trying Dim Sum. Loved everything. Tried about 10 things. Each plate has 3 of each thing. We ate until we were full. $23. It’s a lot of shrimp. One thing was pork and one thing was sausage. Everything was quite unique and fantastic. There was more we didn’t get to. Can’t wait to return!!

This is a very popular restaurant. It’s the only place in the Richmond market area that you can get dim sum. Very crowded. The food was good in high quality the service was on point. If you get there early you going to be waiting in line to get in. My only real issue was with the cleanliness of the restaurant. But I may be a little bit weird like that, I like restaurants to be extremely clean.

I found out about this Authentic Dim Sum experience about 7 years ago! Since then I have been hooked! The Shark Fin Dumpling (not real shark fin, it’s shrimp) Is like an explosion of flavor in your mouth. The Sticky Rice has what I call treasure inside. The atmosphere with the cart service is my favorite part. Well seeing the same dedicated staff for 7 years may be my favorite part. Okay, Okay all of it’s my favorite part!!! If you like Dim Sum and a great experience, this is your place. I recently moved to Durham, NC and still travel here to get my fix ❤️

Authentic Chinese fare including Dim-Sum. Friendly staff – they speak English so communication is not a problem. I make it a point to stop here everytime I pass through Richmond.
**** Update 11/26/2023 ****
Had dinner here for the first time. For some reason they didn’t hand out the Chinese menu and instead gave us the paper, folded, take-out menu which had the usual beef&broccoli type fare. I had to ask for the dim-sum menu. They add ¢50 to all the dimsum items. It took a long time for the food to arrive for 2 of us. We ordered a congee (which isn’t in the paper menu) while we waited and thankfully that came in a few minutes ago or hunger didn’t kill us.
Dropping to 4 stars.

Late lunch and once again we had to ask for the dimsum menu. Today it was good! We had chicken feet, spare ribs, shrimp in rice crepe, shrimp wrapped in fried tofu (I think -;really good), and last but not least the coconut dessert. Awesome!

Wanted Chinese food and picked this restaurant for location and reviews. Was cautiously optimistic. I got the beef and vegetable with pan fried noodles, a dish I have eaten for decades in New York…. their versus was authentic and exactly what I hoped for. There was a lot of beef and vegetables. Delicious! Will be back next time I am in town.

The only place to get cart service dim sum in Richmond. Do not miss the tofu pudding in the wooden bucket. Non-dim sum items are also amazing – many unique Cantonese as well as American-style Chinese favorites. They also they have my favorite Peking duck I’ve ever had including many places in New York City.

First I will say I don’t know anything about how authentic dim sum is supposed to be. We went on a Saturday at 1 PM, they were doing the cart and kept offering our table of 3 selections. We said yes to right many things, our table looked a bit like a buffet when we were done. Things looked promising, unfortunately most things were cold. Flavors were there but the cold food really made it unappetizing and not worth the money at all. I should have spoke up but was unsure if that was how it was supposed to be
