Incredible noodle soup! Large portions.
Usually there is no line, unless you go 8pm on a Friday
Dan dan noodles – sesame based broth is amazing! Friend says it’s light and flavorful, 10/5
Pickled sichuan fish soup – delicious! I get it with rice on the side
Hot and sour soup with pork intestine – acid balances out the fat nicely, intestines are fun to chew, clear noodles are delicious
Pork bone broth soup – I added pork intestine which paired well with the pickle cabbage that came with the soup! Loved the fen also, perfectly chewy
Pork belly over rice – classic comfort dish
Sweet and sour ribs – amazing bowl of umami, not too sweet
Cucumber salad – get this!! best I’ve had in SF

A nice and cozy spot with great eats. I had the spicy beef noodles and it was flavorful, not necessarily spicy, tender beef, and noodles done right. Highly recommend this unassuming spot that is more of a local fave than on a tourist radar.

We stopped for a mid afternoon meal and enjoyed the Dan Dan noodles. The service is very good and the atmosphere nice. We were able to be seated right away since it was the middle of the afternoon on a Friday.

It was very busy on weekend but worth waiting for. We ordered Chongqing spicy beef noodle, beef tendon, Sichuan pork belly. Everything was so good. Beef tendon was worth to try. The spicy noodle was so good, the spiciness was perfect for me. The Sichuan pork belly, you need to it with rice, it was quite salty to eat it alone. The reataurant was small with few tables, so be patient.

Stopped in after seeing a couple recs. Highly worth the trek from any parking spot. Get the spicy beef noodle soup, that’s what I recommend. And get it spicy!

The noodle is great with a very big portion but not that spicy, the chicken seems like frozen one not like original flavor

Got recommendations from my friend and would love to try. Everything looks great then started by 2 appetizers both were tasty. The spicy numbing beef tendon was delicious and perfect cooked. Not too soft and still have the texture to chew, I liked it.
Pork belly with preserved vegetables a little bit sweet for me but perfect with preserved veggies and I hoped they could put them more for the balance. Be careful for the portion of the noodles. So regret that we ordered for per person. Taste was okay, not too spicy but the noodle was overcooked for me.
The server was so nice and attentive.

Probably the most middling noodles I’ve ever had. Noodle soup didn’t have flavor, just tasted chili oil. The beef rib was good and the only redeeming factor. The chicken was all bones and no flavor. Usually the chicken is deboned as well. Service was ok. Overall, would not go again for this type of noodle.

Simple meal with friendly service. Tried Chongqing food for the first time — the beef noodle soup was excellent! A must-try!
