Stopped by Chipotle today and it was honestly pretty disappointing. They were completely out of steak, chicken, and even rice — which is kind of the core of the whole place. I was told it was because of a large catering order, but as a regular customer walking in, that’s frustrating.

What made it worse was that several of the young employees were just standing around talking while customers were waiting and options were basically nonexistent. No sense of urgency and no effort to communicate or make it right.

It also felt like there was a clear lack of oversight or management on the floor. No one seemed to be directing the team, updating customers, or taking ownership of the situation. I get that things happen and big orders come in, but running out of your main ingredients and not actively managing the impact on in-store customers isn’t a great look.

Hopefully they can tighten things up.

i don’t believe in leaving bad reviews for places but for this one i feel obligated to. the female manager who i asked for her name after what happened is Yola, she is without a doubt the most incapable manager of a restaurant i have ever met. she treats her staff like they’re her children in front of customers and openly shames them on a daily basis. when i was giving my order to a nice gentleman who is the line cook at nights there she consistently butts in and forces him out so she can take over implying his incompetence which he surely wasn’t as i’ve ordered there multiple times from him. she turns the atmosphere and energy of the restaurant into an uninhabitable venue for sitting down or getting takeout. i strongly oblige upper management to do something about her antics

On January 13, 2026, at approximately 7:00 PM I had the absolute worse experienceat Chipotle that I’ve ever had….. I have been a loyal Chipotle customer for over 20 years, at this specific location and this was by far the worst experience I have ever had.

A male employee was assisting me and was polite and willing to help. However, another employee—who appeared to be acting in a managerial role—came from the back and intervened in a hostile and unprofessional manner. She raised her voice, spoke to me disrespectfully, and embarrassed me in front of others. I am a calm, respectful customer, and I did nothing to deserve being yelled at or treated poorly.

My order was supposed to include free extra protein, yet it contained very little protein and was overwhelmingly rice. Because the bowl was poorly made, I politely asked for extra sides of sour cream and shredded cheese—nothing unreasonable. Instead of correcting the issue, the situation escalated due to her behavior.

I work a very demanding job, and the last thing I expect when spending my money is to be spoken to aggressively. I also consistently tip 30% or more, including on this visit, and I believe customers deserve basic respect regardless.

I am writing weeks later because I am still upset by how I was treated. Unfortunately, due to this experience, I will now drive out of my way to visit a different Chipotle location. This employee would benefit greatly from additional customer service training, as no customer should be made to feel the way I did…

The chicken and steak looked very sad. They were incredibly strict on portion control. When I asked for a little more they became visibly angry and put their face close to the food and inspected it and told me it was the correct portion. Not a fun experience and not worth my money!

I am also adding to the list of people who find the manager to be very rude and disrespectful to her employees, it is embarrassing because the place would have better service and atmosphere if she wasn’t running it like the navy.
I went and stood in line and she made me feel like I was standing in line at TSA and was going to have to remove my laptop out the bag IMMEDIATELY.
She barely gives anyone time to think about what they want unlike subway with their whole load the food in front of you I truly felt like this place didn’t let me have it MY way..
The food was also very mid.

WORST Chipotle in town. First of all, the staff isn’t friendly. Next, they act like their ingredients are like”gold”. They use a VERY small amount of ingredients, especially meat. Usually Chipotle serves extremely large burritos because they load up the ingredients. NOPE…NOT THIS LOCATION. The burrito was half the sz you get at the Chipotle off Nevada, downtown, or the Academy locations. Furthermore they charge $1.60 to add cheese and lettuce on kid’s build a meal. I didn’t even know that was a thing because the other locations have never done it. So instead of charging me $5.60 fir kid’s meal, they charged $8.80. COME ON CHIPOTLE….YOU CAN DO BETTER THAN THAT! This was the 2nd time I have gone to this location, thinking it would be better. Worse than first time! My husband has had the same experience. Don’t waste your time or money.

This location has a terrible manager now (comment posted 11/21/2025, 3 PM MST, in case there are other good managers at different times).
The manager comes across as a complete control freak, staff can’t seem to make even simple decisions without checking with her first. My fountain drink was completely flat, so I asked if I could exchange it for a bottled drink. She refused. I then asked for a refund, and she demanded a receipt. I explained that I had thrown it away, and she still insisted she couldn’t refund it without the receipt. I actually had to dig it out of the trash just to get my money back.

To top it off, she also asked me to return the fountain cup, as if she wanted to make sure I wasn’t secretly enjoying the flat soda. It was honestly comical how petty the whole situation was.

I’m used to much better Chipotle experiences. This manager does not represent the company well at all. She either needs more training or perhaps help finding a role better aligned with her strengths, because managing a Chipotle is clearly not her forte.

Update 1/9/2026

Episode 2!

I decided to give this location another chance because of the double-protein promotion Chipotle was offering today. I placed an online order for myself and my family. Unfortunately, every bowl that was supposed to include double protein appeared to contain closer to half a serving.

I drove back to the restaurant with my bowl, which was barely eaten (mostly rice), to address the issue. To my surprise, the same manager from my previous experience was still working. Once again, she immediately became confrontational, treating my concern as a personal attack rather than a customer service issue.

She insisted she personally remembered making my bowl and was confident she had added double protein. At that point, I told her I was no longer comfortable with the meal and requested a refund. She told me to throw the bowl away and said I would need to go online to request a refund instead.

By then, I was already frustrated, especially since I hadn’t even addressed the issues with the other three meals in my order. I asked if she could simply remake the bowl. Surprisingly, she agreed without much argument. I accepted the replacement and left, though the experience left me with little confidence, it ultimately ended up in the trash.

I’m sharing this extended review in hopes that other Chipotle customers in the area are aware of these ongoing issues. I also hope that if others have had similar experiences, they report them as well. This manager clearly needs significant customer service training or should be placed in a role better aligned with her abrasive and confrontational management style.

the female manager at this location named Yola who everyone in these reviews complain about, is incredibly rude to staff members in front of customers. my wife and kids came here for a simple order and at first was greeted by a friendly line cook trying to do their job which then ended up with this manager stepping in and trying to take over, not only could we barely understand what she was asking of us but she was visibly ridiculing their worker in front of us which was distracting and unwanted when coming for some food. i hope chipotle can change this kind of behavior from their management
