My favorite restaurant in all of Galena! We visited from Chicago and visited serval other restaurants and we were super disappointed with every single one. On our last day we went to Otto’s for breakfast and it turned out whole trip around! Everything was fresh, tasty and prepared perfectly! We were so full after our meal but we still ordered the cinnamon bun and it was delicious! The restaurant is two levels and it feel like sitting in someone’s living room! Super cozy! I wish they were open for dinner as well

I can’t recommend this place enough! The server Jacob was hilarious and friendly. The food, oh the food, it was light and flavor was amazing. We got the country skillet and the smothered burrito. The homemade biscuit and sausage gravy on the skillet were soooo good, the scrambled egg was soft and fluffy. The chipotle sauce on the burrito had such a great taste, the potatoes had great smokey seasoning, the burrito itself was delicious and huge. Somehow you leave full and satisfied without feeling weighed down. The coffee also has a great smooth taste.

This is my second time eating at Ottos and I can’t wait for my next visit. I highly recommend visiting! The food is high quality, delicious, and full of flavor. I ordered the smothered burrito and the iced chai. The burrito was very enjoyable but I could only eat about half of it. The chai tea was so good! The spices and sweetness really stood out but were well balanced. We parked down the street. There were four of us and we made a reservation, so there was no wait. Service was quick and friendly. There were plenty of others eating at the same time, but it was easy to talk and hear each other. It’s a clean, cozy historic building away from the Main Street area, but still close.

Everything about this place was so great. Great food, great service, great vibe. The Country Skillet was incredible. Their sausage gravy is amazing and their homemade biscuits were awesome. The breakfast tacos were also fantastic. The prices were also very reasonable for a great homestyle breakfast.

Great place to get breakfast or lunch in Galena. High quality foods, excellent service and a magnificent interior makes this a must do spot when in Galena. We ride nearly 4 hours to enjoy a meal here. The place is very clean and has a very cozy feel. The cinnamon roll is a must!

This restaurant is located in downtown Galena, Illinois, in a building that dates back to 1899 and sits right next to the railroad.

Which contributes great pictures & views

It offers an upscale selection of classic breakfast items, setting it apart from typical greasy spoon diners. The high-quality, full-bodied coffee served here is a testament to that quality, along with the diverse menu choices.

Guests can choose to be seated either upstairs or down by the bar.

Don’t miss out on the delicious baked goods that pair perfectly with the coffee!

Great food, atmosphere and service! Though the wait was long (almost 1 hr), but the food was totally worth it. We ordered the Salmon lox, Turkey melt, Chicken Cuban, Coffee cake and Irish coffee, and all of us loved the dishes we ordered.
