My husband and I stopped in for lunch the other day and had such a great experience. The service was friendly and attentive, and our food came out quickly, which is always appreciated. Absolutely awful. This is a 15$ sandwich. Clearly looks nothing like the advertised sandwich not even 1/2 the size. One slice of bacon broken in half and one slice of tomato. Really disappointed. It doesn’t even taste good.

I love this place. It’s right by the Belks parking lot, so it’s easy to access. You stand in line to place your order and the food is then delivered to your chosen table. I always get the Pepper Patch salad with lime-marinated steak (I usually get chicken on salads, but love the steak here). My friends enjoy coming here as well and enjoy their salads, sandwiches, and entrees. Service is prompt and staff are friendly. The layout of the restaurant seating is odd, but it’s comfortable. There is also outdoor seating. Recommend trying out Urban Cookhouse.

My work gets Urban Cookhouse catered for meetings sometimes. It’s always been just ‘Ok’ so I decided to check them out for lunch with my wife and kid and give them a sit down shot.
My restaurant experience was pretty meh. $45 for lunch for 3 people. It’s a fast casual place that’s very busy due to the nearby Arsenal. We ordered quickly and got our food quickly. I got the Lime Marinated Steak and Rice, wife got the fresh fruit and chicken salad, kid got the chicken strips.
The best part of the Lime Marinated Steak and Rice was the rice. It was great. Sadly a small portion. The 1/4th of a roll they gave me was also good. The steak was.. not good. It was served with peppers and onions and reeked of char.. like they used liquid smoke and soaked it. I gave a piece to the wife and she said the same thing without any input from me. There were no char marks on the outside. Peppers and onions were soggy. Salad was regular and unremarkable.
Wife’s fruit and chicken salad was OK. I thought the chicken salad tasted like mayo with a little salt. No fruit elements. There was a bunch of fruit on the plate (grapes, pineapple, melon etc) which was good, but the melon had a dirt taste. My wife said she wouldn’t come back here and usually she’s pretty forgiving.
Kid’s chicken strips were not breaded (healthy!) but over cooked and a tad dry. She was not enthused. Came with fruit.
Not worth the price of admission and there way better options nearby. Pick somewhere else.

Always a pleasant experience. Younger crowd staff, but are still quite efficient and welcoming. Food was awesome. Only flaw was the iced tea containers were not closed completely…Sometimes the grilled shrimp is bitter from bei g too charred…please clean grills more often. Overall an amazing place to dine.
