Called and they said no wait, wonderful! Get to the host stand and wait 5 minutes until someone finally decides to seat us. We sit down open our silverware to find pieces of the last meal someone had on it and soap scum. Wait another 10 minutes for our server to grace us when his section is almost completely empty just one other table that he had given a box to. This is pedantic but everytime I get oysters here they dont cut the abductor muscles and you have to use the tiny fork to cut it yourself and that is just the basic way to serve oysters. As a food service worker I will never come here again.

Quick and easy. My daughter and I shared a dozen raw oysters followed by sea bass for me and giant stuffed potato for her. It was all delicious. Definitely return next time in town.

The food was more than I expected I order the blockhouse hen salad with Choice of marinated chicken. I also ordered side order of okra. They give you this huge plate filled with food. The chocolate cake yeah it melts in your mouth literally. Will go back to eat again and try something different. Everything was soooo good! My total was about $40

Tried the bbq and was not very impressed at all. Food was very bland and simple. It seemed like my meal was throw together without care especially for how long it took to come out. The passion is definitely not in the food. Servers were nice but pretty distant and uninterested in checking on tables regularly it felt like. Seems like a good place to drink maybe if you live nearby but other than that I couldn’t see a reason to come back.

We came here for an early wedding anniversary and Blokhouse did not dissapoint!
Great service, Absolutely amazing Tasting food and a beautiful, warm romantic environment.
We had the prime rib and the ribeye, both $35 a plate with a loaded baked potato absolutely delicious!
We also shared a dinner salad and that was VERY good also!
We had a dozen raw oysters as an appetizer that were very delicious. Some of the best oysters I’ve ever had, and for a great price too, a dozen for $20.
I only had 1 complaint for the evening.
The oysters when they were shucked, they were not removed from the adductor muscle. So I had to remove them myself before eating them.
I highly recommend this place and I’ll be back!!!

I really enjoyed the lunch there, from the outside the restaurant is not so impressive, however, once inside the atmosphere is charming. Our waitress was knowledgeable about the menu and very helpful in making a choice. Prices where we’re above average for the type of food, but the taste was above average as well. Plenty of parking in the rear of restaurant and also had a nice patio area in the back as well. The restaurant had a full service bar and was well stocked. I didn’t try the oysters, however, I did see that someone had ordered some at the bar and looked very tasty, next time I’ll give them a try. Give them a try and let me know in comments how you liked them.

We came in for oysters and they were half off Bri as our server was great. Will ask for her next time explained the menu and specials. I even ordered extra steamed oysters just wish they were bigger. I come from Hilton Head and we call me boogerfish
