Friendly greeters and waiters; food usually excellent – today seemed excessively salty and I was surprised to bite into a bone in my pulled chicken. We have eaten at two Nando’s locations 7 to 10 times in the last eight months since moving to the Maryland/DC area and brought family and friends many of those times. 1. On previous visits bathroom #1 at the Silver Spring location has always had one side of the safety belt missing on the child changing table and bathroom always dirty, 2. Tonight bathroom #2 on new year’s eve was amazingly clean, floor recently mopped, clean toilet seat, paper towels; went to check the baby changing table in 2nd bathroom, too, and yes, there were both sides of the safety belt present, but there was poop smeared all over the changing table. We did not change our child’s diaper there. 3. We forgot to use the Nando’s app to place our order to get points for our purchase, so we asked the male server why the order number in our receipt e-mail would not work in our Nando’s app to award us points on the previous purchase made tonight; he asked his manager and returned saying there is no way to get a printed receipt or barcode number to get the points for prior Nando’s purchase(s) in the Nando’s app, even though the app seems to say there is. We are sadly disappointed the delicious food (we got two rainbow bowls, lavender lemonade, and a naughty nata dessert), kind servers, and fun music and ambiance doesn’t match the restrooms or customer rewards app. Step it up, Nando’s!

The food here is always great but I wrote this review because service always goes above and beyond, even when they’re slammed. As someone who has been getting Nando’s for 15 years, it was still helpful to me when Sean explained the differences between all the sandwiches, and then let me know they can even baste the halloumi cheese in hot sauce. Will keep coming back weekly.

Just get the half chicken with Portuguese rice. It’s a clutch meal and the sauces take it up a notch. The chicken is the perfect texture. This location has plenty of seating and my kids liked the kids meals. The hot level isn’t too crazy, but it’s delicious and then there are also more herb or lemon-based sauces for people who don’t like heat.

Garlic Bread CLT is a Must-Try!
I recently visited Nando’s to try their new Garlic Bread CLT–a pulled chicken sandwich served on garlic bread. As a garlic lover, I have to say, this is the best sandwich I’ve had at Nando’s to date.
The sandwich itself was delicious, with the garlic bread adding a perfect, flavorful touch. The pulled chicken was tender and well-seasoned, making each bite satisfying. For an extra kick, I recommend adding a little garlic sauce–it takes the sandwich to the next level.
Overall, this was a straightforward yet delightful meal. If you’re a fan of garlic and chicken, you’ve got to try the Garlic Bread CLT at Nando’s. I’ll definitely be ordering this again!

Never tried Nando’s before so was excited to try this for a Yelp perk (complimentary sandwich)! I looked over the menu beforehand so my heart was really set on trying the Garlic Bread CLT—stopped by for dinner last night (Mon) and they didn’t have anymore garlic bread so couldn’t try this sandwich! No garlic bread as a side dish either—how do you run out of garlic bread lol! So I ended up trying the PERi Ranch Crunch Wrap—it was good, loaded with a good amount of chicken meat and the chickpeas & croutons definitely gave it that extra “crunch”.
Ordered a few other items to try. The Rainbow Bowl with Chicken Thigh ($14.99) was really good! The 12 PERi-PERi Wings ($22.19) were okay but the mashed potato and rice sides were delicious (tip: the PERi ranch sauce is bomb). Overall it was a nice first experience here.

Very small portions, so if you’re really hungry definitely get some more. I ordered the chicken thighs hot, sweet potatoes and Cole slaw. I also got the pineapple lemonade with was more pineapple flavor than lemonade. I got all the sauces, the extra hot was amazing, sour and hot at the same time. It was good enough. Other than that they forgot my sides so I had to go back in to get the rest which they were happy to complete my order and apologize .

I had a blast with the service—it was top-notch! The place was spotless and easy to navigate, so much so that I felt like a pro getting around without any help. I used the mobile app for the first time to place my order, and while I was a bit skeptical at first, I ended up loving the convenience of not feeling rushed. The menu had a great variety, and though one drink played hard to get, the other options were just as refreshing and delicious.

I love Nando’s so much! I eat here all the time, literally everything on the menu is delicious! The skewers are my favorite, but I also really like their bowls and chicken thighs. The side are also delicious (if anyone from management is reading this, I miss the brussel sprouts), I love their corn (not pictured), mashed potatoes and garlic bread. And clearly, their sangria is also amazing, as I get it every time lol! This is definitely one of my favorite places to eat!
