I would give 10 stars if I could. 5 adults on vacation and we ate at a LOT of restaurants in the area: Jack’s Shop Kitchen is the best. I’m not kidding; and some of the other spots I wholeheartedly gave 5 star reviews.
Great food. Seriously, each one of us ordered something different from their menu, and every meal was delicious. I can confidently recommend everything.
Prices, staff, ambiance, decor, service, cleanliness — all great. Menu items were unique, while still delivering all the tasty familiar comfort cuisine. If you are anywhere in the area . . . anywhere in western Virginia, I suggest eating here.

Wow! Wowowow! Such delicious food. Everything on the menu looked phenomenal. I got the fried green tomato BLT and a cinnamon roll (who can pick just 1 thing?!) and wish I could eat here for every meal for the next 6 months

We have found our new favorite restaurant!!! (I’m not kidding.. we will be bringing any celebration, family visiting, or just casual Tuesday night to Jacks Shop.
This was one of the best meals we’ve had since we moved to Charlottesville a year ago.
We got the their Smoked Trout Spread… this was one of the best spreads and pita I’ve had.
The mussels and fries blew me away… the sauce, flavor, deliciousness… SO GOOD.
For our mains we got the Roasted Chicken and Special (Shrimp and Scallop fettuccine)
This was some of the most fresh, flavorful, delightful we’ve ever had..
Their pasta tasted like I was sitting in Italy. The chicken was perfectly cooked my fiance wanted to go back the next night.
The inside of the restaurant is modern, cute and has the best service!! Cylie was incredibly sweet and guided us through the menu!
This is the perfect place to stop in for an incredible meal. Not too fancy. Just the dishes you crave and love. We can’t wait to come back!

We tried this place while on a camping trip at Shenandoah valley .
I like that they have an order at the counter kinda service which saves time for travellers waiting on a server . Food was delicious and by far one of the best cheesy grits I have ever had .
Plenty on games for the kids to play with and also an ice cream spread if you choose to end breakfast with ice creams .

The best food in the area! Definitely recommend the biscuits and chorizo gravy, the gringo, and the french toast crossaint. The chef is on point the servers were very helpful and knowledgeable, would recommend to anyone who is looking for a nice environment with delicious food.

I started my birthday with my family at Jack’s Shop kitchen for breakfast. We knew to go early to avoid the crowd. We had no wait to place our orders and easily got a table. Drinks are all self serve but wait staff bring your meals. The staff was all very polite and courteous. I had a breakfast croissant with potatoes and a side of fried green tomatoes. The fried green tomatoes were really good with the sauce they were delicious. The sandwich was very big! The bacon was crisp and the egg cooked to order. The potatoes might have been the star of the show. They were extra crispy and seasoned perfectly! We ended the meal with a celebratory donut holes and a slice of pumpkin cheesecake. The donut holes were very crispy and delicious. The pumpkin cheesecake was goo. My son loves it! Our meal and service was all really good. I recommend JSK with the caveat that the good food and service comes with a high price tag.

Highly recommend. Amazing food. So fresh! The service is great, too. When you come in, you order at the counter and find a seat. They’ll bring your food to you when it’s ready. It can get a little crowded at times so it can be a little noisy (mostly around noon), but I feel like it adds to the atmosphere. I feel like the pricing isn’t too high; the quality of food is worth it. I did the “Build Your Own Omelette” and it came with potatoes, toast with homemade jam or apple butter. Delicious. And it was about $13 (after taxes and with water). I highly recommend! My dad got the stuffed French toast and he said it was delicious! The next time you’re in the area, stop by Jack’s Shop Kitchen! The staff are so friendly and the food is amazing!

We weren’t as impressed with this restaurant. It’s marketed as fresh and local, but the cinnamon roll definitely was pillsbury. Eggs and sausage were ok, breakfast potatoes were heavily seasoned but crispy and good. Nothing special in our opinion and wouldn’t visit again for breakfast at least. They did have some different menu items for lunch that might be worth a try.
