Shout out to Hanksville, Utah out in the middle of nowhere lol. Great place. We got into Hanksville late and we were recommended to Stan’s Burger Shak. I walked in and was worried they were closing ..the guy behind the counter said closing time is just an option as long as people were coming in they stayed open and served everyone. How great is that service. The food was sooo good and the staff were friendly. They keep a very clean place and a friendly place at that. Don’t skip out with out getting a milkshake..

Burgers were ok nothing special but good. We tried the basic burger and the buffalo burger. It is an iconic location and partially about the experience. The fries are great and the milkshakes (cups of ice cream) are massive the small is a large anywhere else. Service was efficient and food came out quick.

Amazing food! We got the Buffalo Burger, which is actual Buffalo, not the spicy flavoring and it was delicious. My husband had the Duke Burger, which is two quarter pound burgers, onion and lots of super hot fresh jalapeños, fries and a chocolate shake. Everything was so good and we were thrilled they have Fry Sauce! Bonus! They were super busy, even at 11 am, but we had our food in under ten minutes. They also have gasoline, propane, a cool store and clean restrooms. The parking lot is gigantic and has room for large RVs, tractor trailers or anything else youneed to park. Eat here. You’ll be so happy you did!

Be prepared to be addicted to STAN’S. As someone that is a connoisseur of Burger’s and Milkshakes. Their Burger and fries rank in the top 3 I’ve ever had. They’re filling, you can tell the ingredients are quality, and they’re just plain addicting! The fries are the best hands down. No one does their fries like STAN’S. You don’t come to Hanksville ever without stopping here. You won’t be disappointed. Also the BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE. Customer service is a dying art, and I feel like they must train their staff on customer service, because they’re wonderful. We’ll always be a supporter of them!

If anyone remembers how the old skool Arctic Circle hamburgers used to taste! I felt nostalgic when I first came here last month (December 2025). These hamburgers are so good and the fries are perfectly battered, crisp! I’m biased with my Dr. Pepper, but they have it tweaked to the precise crispness that a Dr. Pepper should be.
Also, I’ve opted for the drive thru Hanksville, instead of the Moab route, just to stop here the last 2 times within the month, on my trips up to Salt Lake City, UT
