I ordered the cheesesteak wrap, and let me tell you… it didn’t come to play. It showed up packed like it had something to prove — juicy, cheesy, perfectly messy in the best way possible. The kind of meal where you take one bite and immediately stop talking because your taste buds need a moment of silence.
My mom got the cheeseburger, and I’m pretty sure she considered canceling all future meals just to commit to that burger full-time. Thick, flavorful, and big enough to make you question your life choices (in the best way).
And let’s talk about Hannah — she was AMAZING. She helped us pick exactly what to order (clearly steering us in the right direction) and somehow kept our drinks filled like she had a sixth sense for empty glasses. Friendly, attentive, and just the right amount of “I got you.”
Our only complaint? Our stomachs were not big enough to finish everything. Honestly devastating. We needed a bigger appetite and maybe stretchy pants.
10/10. Incredible food, incredible service, and we’ll absolutely be back — next time with reinforcements.
My wife had the chicken alfredo and it was good. Both our salads was very good.
We’ll cone back to give them another chance, but will not order the lasagna.
My husband had a salad and fettuccine Alfredo. I had a pasta salad and turkey sandwich. All of the food was unique, delicious, and filling. 100% recommend!
The first one they brought out too. Which just felt intentional as if it was my fault it was wrong. Our appetizer was wrong and she never fixed it even though she said she would. One of the people at our table didn’t get her drink for over 30minutes when a few of us got our second round ordered after her first round. My daughter’s food was wrong. Server was nice but idk why nothing seemed to go right or smooth. There was 8 of us and when she split our tickets up, that wasn’t even right. Just felt like she wasn’t paying attention to what we were telling her. She didn’t even get my husbands drink order when she first came to our table; totally skipped him and left before he could mention/stop her. Just ruined the visit.
We had a 6:30 reservation at Farina’s. That apparently meant “stand around until 7:00 and think about your life choices.” Strike one.
Once seated, the real endurance test began. It took 45 minutes to get drinks and appetizers. Not craft cocktails. Not soufflés. Basic drinks and apps. During this time, our waitress offered zero explanation—no apology, no update, no “hey, the kitchen is on fire.” Just vibes.
Eventually, another waitress—clearly the MVP of the night—let us know they were having kitchen staffing issues. Helpful information. Would’ve been nice to hear that before we completed a full season of a Netflix series at the table.
Dinner arrived over an hour later. So let’s recap:
• Reservation: 6:30
• Food arrival: Somewhere around “why are we still here” o’clock
• Exit time: 9:30 PM
Three. Hours. To eat mediocre Italian food.
Speaking of the food—disappointing and expensive is a bold combo. I ordered shrimp scampi and was served shrimp Alfredo. When I asked about it, I was told they “recently changed the recipe” and it’s apparently not shrimp scampi anymore. That’s an interesting strategy—changing a classic dish into a completely different dish but keeping the same name. By that logic, my Honda is now a Ferrari.
Finally, when we tried to pay and escape, it took 15 more minutes just to get our cards back. At that point, I half expected them to offer us pajamas and a breakfast menu.
If you’re looking for a place to:
• Spend 3 hours on one meal
• Be left completely in the dark by your server
• Eat overpriced, underwhelming food
• Order one dish and receive a totally different one
Farina’s is the place for you.
If not—make a reservation literally anywhere else.
On a positive note, the building was really cool. It’s a shame because Granbury could have a really nice spot to gather with friends and family. But unfortunately looks like Farinas is following in the footsteps of the Granbury leadership.
