This Popeyes is terrible. Ordered food today and half of it was overcooked and hardly seasoned at all. I ordered the ghost pepper dry rub. As you can see hardly any is in rhe bix at all and barely any onnthe chicken. I ordered a meal if 6 with their signature sauce and 6 dry rub. The signature was passable but still not much sauce. But those werent overcooked. My coke was completely flat as well. Tried calling 5 times. Nobody ever answered. The manager is barely over 18 if that. I went there and they can’t do anything in store. You have to use the app. It was a $19 order. They refinded me barely $5. That is ridiculous. Never eat here.

FREEZING Cold Food & Incompetent Staff – The Worst Popeyes Experience Ever
Management, you better be reading this !!!
First off, the temperature inside the dining room was just as cold as it was outside. It was absolutely freezing.
We ordered two Ghost Pepper combos, and they were stone cold. The food seemed like it had been sitting out for a long time, and the heat lamp clearly wasn’t working. The fries were no different. I am fairly certain the food temperature did not meet local health department requirements for safe serving.
Either the management here is completely incompetent, or the staff—who were just staring at their smartphones the whole time—just didn’t give a damn.
I am not bashing the Popeyes brand itself; the establishment in my hometown of York, Pennsylvania, is the complete opposite of this place and is always great. But this specific Owensboro location is by far the worst fast food restaurant I have visited in my entire life.
Congrats on hitting rock bottom.

$10 for 1- piece tender kids meal is insane. Had to pay extra to get fries as a side (instead of applesauce) and extra to upgrade to a small soft drink vs the apple juice. And no toy. What’s the point. And the food is mediocre at best.

Terrible, they got my order completely wrong. I ordered 1 diet coke, 1 sweet tea, and a strawberry fanta. I got 3 large cokes, no explanation. I was missing my 6 count of biscuits and my wings were all boneless rather than the bone-in I ordered. No response when calling on the phone. Never come here if you value your money.

The Owensboro KY location is the worst Popeyes in the nation. The quality of the food, service, and cleanliness of the restaurant is so bad I would give it a 0 score if possible. The staff is extremely rude and will just shove anything into the bag to get you out the door. express my absolute disgust and outrage at the horrific scenes I witnessed at your establishment. This place needs to be shut down immediately. As I was walking in with my family to enjoy a meal, I saw a heavy white guy with a ponytail brutally body slam a gentleman wearing a black shirt right out the back door. This wasn’t some minor scuffle—this was downright violent and completely unacceptable behavior in any public place, let alone one where paying customers expect to feel safe.
We didn’t even think twice; we immediately left and went somewhere else. Other customers as well. This isn’t the first time I’ve noticed things going downhill here. Over the last two weeks, the entire atmosphere has deteriorated horribly. It’s obvious this place is under new management, and whoever is running things clearly has zero control over the staff or security. The violent acts, the unsafe environment, and the complete lack of professionalism are beyond reprehensible.
This place has become a nightmare, and I’m appalled that they continue to operate with no regard for public safety or customer experience. Something has to be done, and fast, before someone gets seriously hurt.
Shut it down. Now.

I keep trying to give Popeyes a chance because I love chicken but this place is just downright awful no matter what time of day you go. I witnessed the employees touching the food with their bare hands even the older lady. They pull you and make you wait and go inside and your order is not even made

Sat in the drive thru for about 15 minutes before the order was taken. Ordered 2 meals and the lady at the window did apologize for the wait and said she added a fee extra chicken strips to the order for the inconvenience. We get home to eat and the food was cold, the tenders were petrified, there are no biscuits, no sauce, no napkins, no straws, red beans and rice was not only cold but the containers were less that half full. Not to mention we paid to upgrade one of the regular sides to a large! Seriously??? It was not busy, there is just no reason for this kind of service. Worst experience at popeyes ever. I am in Owensboro from Louisville stop at location on 54 Popeyes you need to do better. Got a 2 piece combo leg was as small as a wing thigh was was cut into to make 2 pieces and mas potatoes were stiff with a dab of gravy. Very disappointing to oay 10 something for a couple of bites of chicken.i will never eat here again when I’m in town.
