Food was typical McDonald’s slop. Don’t care about it that much. But, even at 1am Ramona had top notch customer service and was a very pleasant person to receive my food from!

They used to have a strawberry shake that tasted really good and now the flavor is way off… I know it’s been several years since they made this change but I still hope for that older more subtle strawberry shake flavor… I wish they really had that… I just stopped in for this wishful thinking and that was all I purchased on this trip, but I have gone to this location several times over the last year and it’s pretty consistent. The service was efficient just as you would expect and they didn’t short me a straw or anything like that… The drive-thru and building or updated and things are nice and efficient. There was a lady in the parking lot who was getting in front of people’s cars trying to get them to give her money, and she kept running back and forth between Chevron which is right next door to McDonald’s and stopping absolutely everybody… She banged hard on my window… Anyway, shake wasn’t very good…

After 3 days at the Ventura Fairgrounds hosting a Scottish tent we were pretty burned out. This covienently located McD’s was on the way back to our hotel.
The service was excellent as I was acknowledged & helped quickly. I walked in because the drive thru was packed. I pay with cash & had a question.
It was busy inside too, but you can order from the boards.
Unfortunately while the dining room had plenty of seating, it was really dirty. There was a young person sweeping the street & I wondered why isn’t h cleaning the dining room area first? Weird.
We were maybe 5 minutes from our room, but our food was cold . I was so hungry I ate my filet of fish w/1 third of a slice of cheese not even melted on the bun.
Sad to see the destruction.
This is why I rarely visit! Good luck.

Slowest service ever. No soda machine available to the public so i went to get a refill of my large coke and the manager came back with a small cup. I asked him why is the cup a small when i payed for a large and he said it was “their rule” 3/8/26

I frequent this McDonalds often as it’s on my way home from work. And while the food is usually fine, today was horrendous. I took a bite out of my cheeseburger to find a sticker in it and the second cheeseburger I ordered was missing pickles. When I called to speak with the manager, she wasn’t understanding at all and didn’t take initiative to resolve the issue. I didn’t want a refund or to have my burger remade, but instead asked that she speak with her staff about doing a better job. Instead of considering my suggestion, she raised her voice and tried to defend that her staff is doing a job. Well, I have clear evidence that they aren’t…

Somehow McDonald’s has it backwards

I’ve been a customer of this franchise for many years, and of the McDonalds brand since the ’70s. I worked at a franchise in high school, and I still remember the “customer rights” for cashier. Back then we made about 15% of the $20 min rate, and compared to what masquerades as customer service today, the management and staff deserve less than I made 40 years ago.

And thanks to the lunacy in requiring a fast-food worker with a high-school education be payed more for unskilled labor vs general State minimum wage, the trend I see now will continue down the rabbit hole. In 2025, “Customer Service” means the customer does all of the front-end work himself, using a video screen menu board about as intuitive (and reliable) as touch-screen computers were in 1988.

After several minutes of frustration bordering on hand-to-hand combat, the fortunate will have entered their orders without requiring the “help” of the staff; otherwise expect to wait for the too-busy-to-help staff surplus hiding behind the milk shake machines to come out wanting to know what your problem is.

Yes, that attitude is what 20 bucks minimum pays for, because that much implies over-importance for menial customer training/service chores. If one is fortunate, their order-entry combat is over and now they wait for the high-value staff to deliver it. Otherwise it’s back to the waiting game for help in customer serves us. This process is made harder or miserable depending on how experimenting placing an order with the mobile app was.

After all of this unpaid employment, food delivery times range from 5-10 minutes at busy times to 7-15 minutes during show periods – yes that is backwards as well

Atmosphere is predictable based on which side of the building you choose to sit in: the South-to-East portion is usually clean and cared for, but don’t plan on self-service for soft drinks – those are off limits in favor of forcing one to deal with the overly important staff. You won’t find as little as a napkin dispenser outside of the staff controlled zone. Now, on the other side of the building, the ubiquitous stretch of overflowing toilet informs the customer they are cold -warm-hot relative to the restrooms. And yes, that stench is probably intentional and permanent, it encourages the customer follow the posted 30 minute maximum loitering rule: wait time for food delivery is not factored in, it’s door -to-door time.

This location is doing it’s best to overcharge and underserve lobby guests, eventually don’t be surprised to see the lobby doors bolted shut in favor of a drive-thru only model.

The biggest asset for hungry people searching for hot, quality food served by friendly and helpful staff would be to choose one of the other restaurants close by: McDonald’s appears to be the only one in the area intentionally ignoring customer service.

I was on my way home from working a graveyard shift and I felt like I was starting to swerve and lose focus on the freeway so I pulled into this McDonald’s to grab a coffee and wake up a bit before I’m back on the road . Unfortunately 10 minutes into it my coffee break was cut short by the McDonald’s parking lot security knocking on my window and shining his high beams towards my car. I get that because they are situated in a area with lots of bars all around they’d want to keep people from spending the night here but they disregarded my attempt to get home safe and told me “they’d appreciate it if I left Now”. I’ve spend lots of my hard earned dollars here countless times for years just to get interrogated and kicked out for trying to enjoy my coffee. Guess I’ll take my money somewhere else more welcoming.

It took them 20 mins after arrival to bring out my small $6 curbside order after serving many drive-thru customers that arrived after me.
