The reviews say they are known for their fried chicken. This was a one and done for me. The flavor of the chicken was ok, the mashed potatoes and gravy lacked flavor and the green beans were very crunchy.
I don’t eat chicken with feathers still on it, and that’s what I got.
They comped me a banana pudding but I wasn’t really interested.
Cute little place but only 1 try for me.
Also the menu is not the one on line it is a very limited menu.

I wanted to share our wonderful experience with our waitress, Shelby, this evening. She was attentive, friendly, and always on top of everything, making our meal enjoyable. We had a taste for fried chicken and was gonna go to Popeyes but decided to google fried chicken and found this gem.
The whole experience was fantastic from the food, atmosphere and service with Freddy and Jamie. Best collards I’ve ever had and the chicken and meatloaf was out of this world. Great job Roger the cook actually came to our table. Then we topped it off with the homemade strawberry shortcake, absolutely amazing!

Southern Fresh was absolutely amazing. The food was incredible and my whole family enjoyed every bite 🙂 especially the dry rub wings and the ribeye, which were both cooked perfectly and full of flavor. Shelby was our waitress and she was fantastic, super bubbly, friendly, and made the experience even better. Freddy, the cook, was also awesome and so welcoming when he ran our food out. Great food, great service, and an all-around wonderful experience. We’ll definitely be back!

I’ve had several meals at Southern Fresh and have yet to find something that wasn’t excellent. There’s a reason they are known for their fried chicken and banana pudding. They are top notch. There’s several other great plates though on the menu if you want something different, and you will always find fast, friendly service. I always get the feeling like I’m eating at my friend’s house or with my very Southern grandparents when I visit. Just a great vibe and delicious food.

I ordered the white meat fried chicken one breast and one wing. Collards and mashed potatoes with gravy. The chicken was absolutely delicious. Crispy, moist and tender. The collards had a wonderful flavor with a touch of hot spices. The mashed potatoes and gravy were good. The only complaint I have was the potatoes and collards could have been warmer. They tasted awesome though. The homemade Sangria was very tasty. The server was very pleasant and funny. I recommend whoever likes fried chicken try this out.

I really wanted to like this restaurant as the town was crowded and we were hungry. We were seated quickly outdoors by the hostess who didn’t mention any food restrictions. We proceeded to order a bottle of wine and an appetizer. When the waitress returned she told us they were out of the the pulled pork appetizer. We then cjose our dinner selections from a very limited 1 page menu. After some time the chef came out yo tell us 3 of the 4 items were sold out and they only had ribs and chicken. He could tell we were frustrated and ready to leave. He offered to provide us additional chicken, fish, and 2 deserts. In general we were hungry so we accepted his offer but for the life of us could not figure out how a restaurant cannot manage their food on a busy Friday evening. In summary, the food was average at best, the chicken and fish deeply fried and not very tasty. Can’t recommend this restaurant. I felt bad gorvthe waitress as it was her first night.

Our server Shelby was so sweet and always checking on us making sure drinks were full and going above and beyond to make sure our experience was great and she made that happen! Great southern food, charm, and atmosphere for dinner! The staff and owner were very friendly and charming. They even had someone come and explain all of the gluten free options available on the menu. After finding out there were so many gluten free options, we ordered the pork belly appetizer and the grilled salmon entree. The pork belly was so tender with how it softly melted in your mouth. It had a bbq glaze with a slight spice that reminded you of old fashion southern flare. The grilled salmon was also tender and had a slight crunch on the bottom with its lemon and herb sauce that was so light and refreshing. The green beans were soft with a mouthful of seasoning and potatoes a beautiful peppery and buttery balance to the entree! We absolutely loved it! We look forward to dining there again!
