This is a great place to stop with the family for a down home feel. The staff were very friendly, upbeat and helpful. We got the Friday fish fry and the fish was delicious. Don’t forget to try the pies served there, they are to die for (figure of speech Ofcourse). Definitely a place not to drive by, also check out the flag memorial they have, very patriotic!

Great service and food. My California Skillet was amazing. Might be the best I ever had, or I was just very hungry. My wife had the patty melt and dumpling soup. We both left very satisfied. This restaurant is 30 minutes from where I live, but we will definitely be back. So many great looking options on the menu.

Very convenient location with easy access for trucks and large vehicles with trailers. Store has a great selection of local WI items, and the restaurant had fast service and tasty food at reasonable prices. We will definitely go back when traveling in the area.

Overall good. Kathy was our waitress. She was better than average for attentiveness by checking on us frequently, but my tea was gone for a while before she asked if I wanted another. But she acted in a professional manner by not interrupting conversation and seemed genuinely interested if the meal was decent enough. Food was okay. I ordered breakfast of chopped steak and eggs. Steak had good flavor. There was no pink, however. I had ordered medium well. Rye toast was touched with butter but not spread on the toast. It was dry and hard.
My companion ordered the ocean perch lunch. It was presented well. Fries were great. One of the fish pieces was thicker and was tough and chewy. Otherwise it was flavored well with a nice crisp crust. Corn served with the plate was standard canned field corn. Nothing worth taking the time to chew and eat.
Today we ordered dessert. I has the raspberry cream cheese pie. My fiance had a lemon meringue. The crust on both was anemic, leaving a lard and flour taste. No salt for seasoning. The meringue was not fully cooked, leaving a runny egg white over the middle of the pie.
Raspberry pie was thick and rich.
Overall, we’d visit again if we were hungry and passing by, but won’t go out of our way to return.

Usually stop here when on my way across the state, good food and portion size for relatively cheap these days. Nice place to stop in for coffee or to grab a bite and relax for a little while.

Huge restaurant. They were busy and had a 10 min wait, but there’s a store with clothing and gift stuff. You can shop at the bakery while you wait, also.

I don’t know how this place gets more than one star. I ordered the 2 x pork chops, but only received one, which was so dry it was almost jerky. The sweet potato fries that I ordered for a $2 upcharge were crinkle cut frozen fries from Walmart. The veggies were also of the frozen Walmart variety. The mushroom soup had that gel like consistently of canned soup, with some mushrooms added. The salad was a bunch of lettuce with half the end of a tomato. Disgusting. This is the worst ‘restaurant’ experience I have ever had. Gross. I threw most of it away.
At least the rice was half decent, and the shrimp was edible.
I guess you get what you pay for….

The waitress was very rude and very judgmental called me a he instead of a she. I got a baked potato and got sour cream with it and I spread the sour cream all over my baked potato and the waitress said oh he likes a lot of sour cream. Got a so called French dip but it wasn’t even French dip it was like ground up sausage very nasty and the dip didn’t even taste like ajui. Also the waitress was like in a hurry we just got our food and then she handed our ticket and then asked if we wanted pie and a to go box. Very very disappointed with everything tonight. Also the American French fries are just mashed up like a mushy hash brown very nasty too. Will not be returning to this restaurant anytime soon again.
