This is a beautiful little shop. The boys got a free pastry of their choice here for their birthday. It gave us a chance to see what it was like here and we will definitely be back! The service was great. They have outdoor seating which is whimsical and out of the heat in the afternoon. But have umbrellas. I would recommend this place the boys loved their pastries. Thanks Panera bread for making my twins boys birthday!

We have been living in Rockford now for 4.5 years and have been going to this Panera since we bought our home. Paneras food is always good but that’s not what makes this location great. What makes this location great is the staff. Over the years I have seen people come and go but it also as a core staff that has been there for me since day one. I have seen some of these young people mature so much and grow personally, that I’ve enjoyed going there simply for that reason. In the beginning, Paulette and I did not get along because of the way she talked to the young staff. We had some words, explained and talked about how they need to be guided and shaped, and she did just that. Some of the young staff simply needed guidance. Now, it has been a pleasure to see how far they’ve come and even seeing one of them promoted. Kudos to this Panera location and I hope leadership continues to shape minds, not scold and belittle. To the staff I see on a daily basis, if I ever win the lotto, you all would be first in my list of people to take care of.

I’ve been waiting in line for 25 minutes and no one coming to the window and drive-through. I’m stuck. I cannot go front or back. I have my kids with me in the car that’s not fair. I need someone to reach out back and let me know why did this happen? What was the reason For us to wait that long for grilled cheese and the person in front of me only needed a soup and a drink.

Very disappointed. I ordered a soup bread bowl. I got home and there was no soup in the bowl! By the time I got home the location was closed and I could not return it / ask for a refund. Last time I was here they forgot my baguette. 1 star.

Very slow drive thru. Normally I have patience for it. But not today. I was the first one in line and they took my order right away. When I went to the window to pay, I sat there for about 5-7 minutes. No one opened the window to take my payment or acknowledge me. I could hear a group of people laughing and joking around on the inside though. After it got silent, I couldnt see anyone in the area who’d be taking my payment.I decided it wasn’t worth the wait anymore especially when I had no idea how long they’d actually be ready to help me. Drove away and decided I’ll be taking my lunch break elsewhere. Honestly don’t think I’ll be going back. It seems to get worst every time and I’m done with it.

Sadly, I went through some of the reviews and not a single one had a reply back from a representative of Panera Bread. I NOT YELLING BUT BELOW WAS MY BAD EXPERIENCE. I HOPE IT HELPS OTHERS DECIDE ON A PLACE TO EAT.
After my mom and I came to Rockford Illinois Panera Bread restaurant we were charged two different prices for two cinnamon rolls and they messed up our orders as well. I called corporate office to two them. They were kind enough to give me a $40.00 egift card which covered our cost. Today, December 1, 2025 I came to Rockford to shop so I stopped at Panera to grab some food. I tried locating the egift card searching panera, panera bread, cashstar and nothing came up. Gpt gave me two phone numbers to call but they rang until it hung up on me. Gpt then gave me an email address I composed all the details and sent it. I received it back telling me it didn’t go through. Right after I was given the $40.00 egift card I found It. However, can’t locate it for my lunch today. Couldn’t get through by two different numbers or email. I’m not sure what to think. I guess I’ll skip eating and continue my Christmas shopping. NOT YELLING I JUST HOPE THIS HELPS OTHERS.

Paid $50 and got a bag with two missing sandwiches and cold soup. Waited 20 minutes in the drive thru. Manager was cool and offered coupons but I don’t recommend this location at all.
