We went to Mallory’s tonight as first timers on a recommendation from a friend. Would give it an 15/10 if I could. Lori the bar manager was so kind and welcoming! She even gave us a private tour of the basement speakeasy! Our server Owen was knowledgeable and gave great advice on best menu items and his personal favorites!! Can’t wait to tell others about what a great first impression they made! Can’t wait to come back soon!

My first visit to Mallory’s for a New Year’s Eve date night with my girlfriend. She recommended Mallory’s for our night! My overall experience is 4/5 stars. Everything was terrific! Food was amazing, service was prompt, we both had wished for a “special” occasion like New Year’s, Mallory’s would have offered a “special” drink or menu.
They only promoted an Espresso Martini drink and no food menu was promoted. They are best known for their Walleye, which we’ll have to try on another visit. For being a “dive bar style restaurant,” on the “strip” of Hudson, it’s expensive, but food was worth the price!

For our anniversary dinner, we decided to try Mallory’s Restaurant and Rooftop in Hudson, WI. While we were looking forward to a special evening, the experience ended up being a bit underwhelming overall.
We had a reservation for two and parked across the street, which was convenient with the app-based meter system. One thing to note: they don’t reserve rooftop seating, which we didn’t realize when booking. So even though we requested something special for our anniversary, we were seated inside toward the back—not quite the ambiance we had hoped for.
The atmosphere was still nice, and the space was clean, including the restrooms. We started with appetizers—the duck wontons were fantastic, crispy and flavorful, definitely the highlight of the meal. We also tried the sushi-grade scallops, which unfortunately didn’t live up to expectations. At $34 for three scallops, we were expecting something more impressive, but they lacked the richness and quality I’ve come to expect from similar dishes around the metro.
For mains, we ordered the pork chop and ribeye, along with French onion soup and asparagus. The soup came with a warning that it was on the saltier side—which I usually don’t mind—but this was next level. It tasted like someone accidentally emptied an entire salt shaker into the pot. The ribeye was also a letdown, with large chunks of fat that made it difficult to enjoy, and my order was mixed up initially, though our server was polite and corrected it quickly.
We came in expecting a bit more, especially for a special occasion, but left feeling a little disappointed. If we come back, we’ll definitely be more selective about what we order. Lesson learned: ask more questions, and maybe save the rooftop for a more casual visit.

First time at Mallory’s. Our waiter ty was very cool. The food was great. The roof top experience was unique. I felt sorry for the staff that had to carry the food all the way upstairs. All the employees at this place were very nice. Makes me want come back. Thanks everybody for a great night.

Over priced under cooked food.
The valentines experience was disappointing. Medium well steak was cooked rare. And The salmon wasn’t fully cooked. I would not recommend on any special occasion. Its too bad. Looks really nice inside though.

Went to Mallory’s after seeing it featured on Facebook. I was greeted promptly by the hostess, who was also my server. I know what I wanted, the ultimate surf and turf. And let me tell you the fillet was tender enough to cut with a butter knife, the scallops were seared just how I like them, the lobster tail was fluffy, and the shrimp were good. Even the asparagus was cooked well. I am very picky where I go, but I will return for more.

Went there for Brunch. They offer to make your own Bloody Mary drink w/ topping of your choice.
We sat on the roof top. Nice, clean restaurant, friendly service and good food! Gotta try their hash browns! Our bartender who was also our server, Ty was very nice. He’s always making sure our Mimosa is filled

Food and service is always great. Even when I take my 2 little kids staff is great with them and they always finish their plate. Just had the walleye strips for the first time and I’m not a fan of walleye but these were delicious.
