It’s clean inside but smells old. Honestly, it’s just an old diner.
We were seated right away and Crystal was at the table asking about drinks soon thereafter. She got them while we perused the menu and came back with them shortly afterwards.
My son got the strawberry-banana French toast. My daughter got blueberry pancakes with blueberry sauce and I did the VIP because the options were crazy. I chose the 2 egg omelette, fresh fruit, pancakes and a small chicken fried steak, a Southern breakfast staple.
Our food was out in minutes, hot and fresh. I was nervous the steak would be soggy as stated in another review, but I worried for naught because it was crispy, well seasoned goodness. My pancakes and omelette were fluffy, and my fruit was sweet and firm.
My son’s French toast looked scrumptious with fruit splayed over every piece of his toast and the enthusiasm with which he gobbled it down confirmed it.
My daughter scarfed down and her sausage and said her pancake was great.
It was about 50 bucks for the three of us with coffee and apple juice. You can’t beat that.
Highly recommend this place and Crystal was the consummate professional juggling a huge table of 10 alone while making sure her other tables weren’t without.
I didn’t think to take pics until mid meal, but I have included them.
Don’t be scared—this place is a gem!

First, he was seated by a nice young lady dressed in red. Everyone was busy waiting on other tables, but Laurie
made sure to check on him right away. He was unsure as to what to order. She helped him decide on an ultimate omelet and apple, cinnamon pancakes.
She brought him this cute card that said he was family and wished him a Happy Thanksgiving. She also helped him load the Village Inn app, and told him about free pie Wednesdays!
He was alone this Thanksgiving and she made him feel welcomed. He will definitely be back and I may be with him! Thanks Laurie, you made his day!
That’s a great thing.
I was told this location is better than the other in Brandon.
I ordered the VIB Breakfast where you can select four items. I selected to have two crêpes, two soft scrambled eggs, and two bacon.
You know I am a crêpe connoisseur. So the plate was very presented very well. Being the crêpe connoisseur I am I would have loved more cheesecake filling. But the description does it well. It is in fact, cheesecake cream inside. The folding of the crepe was pleasing to the eye. The crêpe itself was a little cakey so it provided more than the usual chew factor. The whip cream really had no flavor, it didn’t take away from the dish. The graham cracker sprinkles didn’t really interfere with the taste of the whole dish. I didn’t taste them at all. Presentation factor, not mad. Just glad it didn’t interefer with the taste. I came
Up the the amazing revelation- (not
true, I do ask at another breakfast chain) I will ask for more cream filling…
The next time I come. I did say said next time I come.
I was impressed with the food quality. Looking on the outside and coming in I would not think they would serve this quality of food service here. I was very impressed.
The other guest had 2 pancakes, 2 eggs, and 2 bacon. She stated she would actually be able to eat all the pancakes because they weren’t extremely and thick. That’s a great thing!
Our eggs were cooked ok, not overcooked.
The bacon was not overly crispy.
The water I think you can skip. I’ll leave that there.
Wednesday was FREE pie day.
Get your slice!!
Peach, apple, strawberry, tripple berry, pumpkin and banana cream.
The coffee was was a 4 out of 5.
The waitress started saying the flavors of the cream; and it almost made me want to order coffee but I don’t drink it. As a non-coffee drinker I was impressed that they had a flavor I would actually order.
I will definitely say I was very impressed at the energy and demeanor of all the waitresses I saw. They are very calm and sound pleasant. Christine was amazing.
