Tucked in the south suburbs of Chicago sits one of the most impressive dining experiences I’ve had in a long time — and I almost kept it to myself. Saint Patrick’s is a 5-story upscale restaurant, Black-owned, rooted right in the community, and it is everything.
My friend and I have a tradition — we seek out Black-owned and entrepreneur-driven restaurants to put our money where our mouth is. Saint Patrick’s didn’t just meet the bar, it raised it.
The entire vibe is inspired by the TV series Power, and if you know, you know. If you don’t…. trust me, you’re going to feel like you’ve arrived the moment you walk in. The ambiance, the seating, the energy, it all makes you feel like money, even if you just pulled up in a Honda. Free parking too, by the way.
Our server Lyric was the highlight of both visits, yes, I came back, and yes, she remembered me. She’s attentive, knowledgeable, genuinely excited to serve you, and the absolute definition of what hospitality should look like. On my second visit for date night, she made my guest feel just as welcome as if they’d been there a dozen times.
The food? Immaculate. The service? On point. The experience? Unlike anything you’ll find downtown without the chaos of downtown.

So my sister and I decided to do our mommie and daughter date at St.Patrick’s Steakhouse in Dolton, ill. This was our first time. Upon entering we were greeted by 1 of the owners who suggested some menu items. We were keyed to the 2nd floor for our reservation. The restaurant is pristine, every detail was thought of and executed. The decor is on point. We were greeted and shown to our table. The playlist was fire. Our server, Jamarea was very polite, communicative and explained the menu and informed the layout of the building by floors. We ordered short ribs-very tender melt in your mouth, blackened catfish- right hint of heat/spicy and cooked to perfection and ribeye steak-very tasty, I would recommend selecting medium instead of medium-well. The dunk menu is named after Power characters. There were 2 young men that checked on us to clear away any used dishes. Our party was completely satisfied. We will be supporting again!

Ceaira was our Bartenda and made us feel so welcomed! We were on the 6th floor and the drinks were great! Vive was good and food was great! Had spinach dip which was a 10/10, rockafellow oysters was 8/10, fish was 10/10, and the wings was great 10/10!! Overall first time here and it was a great experience! We’ll be back!

Celebrating a birthday dinner last night. Didn’t get initial pictures of our food, but everything came out hot and plated beautifully, crab cakes, fried green tomatoes, mac and cheese, mashed potatoes and spinach and those breadsticks in warm herb butter. Nice touch!!!
I did grab a picture of my leftovers before gobbling them down and they were absolutely delicious reheated. The New York Strip was cooked to a perfect medium, well flavored and salted.
Lyric was our waitress. She was very attentive and the team that worked with her to deliver our items and pick up empty plates and refill drinks were super hospitable. They made sure the birthday man got a slice of their Quincy Jones Chocolate Cake. Parking was also great and security at the door was on point.
I’ll be back to try the prime rib and sit at the bar to try a couple of their signature cocktails.

From the time we walked in the door we were greeted by two nice gentleman who opened the door and welcomed us. Our server was knowledgeable and explained the menu and also gave us insight on the building and what it had to offer.
Drinks were amazing and the selection and quality was top tier.
Food was amazing and timely, I don’t eat tomatoes and the fried green tomatoes were the best!
I will return and celebrate with friends and family.

The atmosphere is beautiful!!! The food was okay I had buffalo wings and truffle fries for happy hour. I also wanted to participate in the wine tasting but they stated the lady that’s in charge of the tasting wasn’t present. I was kind of perplexed by that since it’s advertised daily there’s wine tasting. The staff was really nice esp on the rooftop. The 2nd floor which is the main floor the hostess wasn’t that friendly. My overall experience was nice . This is a nice place for friends and date night. Check them out!!
Update: I went back today Brian is the absolute best!!! Ak the bartender was awesome !! Her drinks well you get your money’s worth. The lemon drop was ok a bit pricey. Overall experience was great.

I came here for brunch for my birthday and we were allowed to stay at the bar for drinks. My favorite was the shrimp and grits . Service was outstanding but I must give a huge shout out and special thank you to our amazing mixologist Pocahontas! She took care of us and the girl is bad with drinks. I recommend the Kanan Sunrise….10/10!
