Hunky Dory never disappoints. The fish is always fresh and perfectly cooked. I love the variety of healthy options on the menu. The staff are friendly and welcoming and the service is quick even during busy times. I recently tried their new special Barramundi Orzo, and it was a very nice dish. Hunky Dory is not the typical fish and chips so if you want to try something new, this restaurant is a place to go.

This is the best fish and chips restaurant on the planet! And believe me because I am a Flight Attendant and have been around the planet literally thousands of times in my 32 years of flying. The Grilled Hake & Chips are amazing and only $14 AUD. I wish Hunky Dory was in the United States.

My experience at this restaurant was fairly disappointing. When we were seated, the table was noticeably dirty, and it didn’t seem like much care had been taken to clean the dining area. The service also felt unorganized and inattentive. I received my meal well before my partner, and she had to wait almost 10 minutes for hers to arrive. This made the whole experience feel awkward, as we couldn’t eat together. Overall, the combination of unclean tables, slow service, and poorly timed food delivery made the visit far below expectations.

Good size portion. Salmon is fresh and cooked well. Rice could be better. Plenty of seating – both indoors and outside, however best to sit inside due to the birds.

Disappointed to arrive home and realise the food should have been double bagged as it leaked all over my friends shorts who was transporting it on his lap. The liquid from the leaking bag then soaked through it and cased it to split in my driveway resulting in half the food falling on the ground and calamari all over the floor of my car which was far from ideal. Will definitely insist on a double bag next time as 2/5 of us had zero dinner!

Loved the fish and chips here!. I tried the grilled fish which was perfectly cooked and flavorful, paired beautifully with a fresh greek salad and crispy chips. Plus, their Halloween decorations were fun and added to the vibe. I’m definitely coming back

Had the rockling, chips and Greek salad. Didn’t get dressing with my salad, but the salad was ample and very nice. The fish was perfectly cooked and fish was very tender. Chips were great and my fish was a great decent size. I would recommend this place to anyone. These people really know how to cook. Portion size is very generous. Will definitely be back for more
