I have tried many Mexican restaurants all around NWA and this is definitely my favorite! I love the birria burrito— it’s a huge burrito and is packed with so much flavor. If you are a fan of birria tacos, I would definitely recommend getting the burrito version. Their chips are fresh and hot too! Their portion sizes are huge and they have the best desserts.

Service here is great as well. I have been consistently coming here for about a year now and noticed that their service has gotten even better. I took my sister here for her birthday (this is also her favorite restaurant) and I asked if they had any birthday specials. The female waitress we had said they don’t but gave us a free dessert! I don’t remember her name (I believe it is Maria) but she was a phenomenal server! She was very attentive, kind and checked in on us. We came back a few days later and had a younger male server. He was amazing as well! He gave us a lot of great recommendations, was charismatic, and always made sure we were okay! I highly recommend this place.

This is a consistent favorite place to eat at. The chips and salsa, fajita taco bowl, fajitas, quesadillas, and the avocado burger (even though it’s a bit spicy) are all really good as are their desserts. Service is always top notch even when they’re busy which is most of the time. Definitely one of the best Mexican restaurants in Fayetteville and in my opinion in all of Northwest Arkansas!

Stop in after a Jr High football game. We were quickly seated. We ordered our food and it came quickly. Food was really really good. Our waiter noticed us watching a NFL game on our phone and change the TV on the wall to that game without saying anything. That was awesome. The quality of food and the price was very reasonable, actually lower than you would expect. I believe our waiter name was Luis. Top notch.

Was overcharged for a small cheese dip. Receipt said 7.49. I asked the waiter to make sure that was correct and he said yes. Didn’t seem right, also didn’t think to check the menu on my phone before we left, but when I did, small cheese dip is less than $5. Also, 4.99 for a domestic bottle beer is pricey. Frequent that place with my son as a treat, but am rethinking my options.

When I Order they didn’t know what kind of protein they had. The tacos are not as good as I thought really .Four dollars for one taco and this is what I got. I order more than one, but this is how they look for four dollars. I don’t think it’s worth it.

We took advantage of the nice weather and rode up for a couple drinks and appetizers , we had Top Shelf Margaritas and Strawberry Daiquiris and Mexican Street Corn Dip. I’m sorry I didn’t catch waiter’s name but he was very attentive but not pushy , it was a great afternoon on the patio with plenty of TV’s for game days

Came here for father’s day today. I ordered the pollo borego. The chicken was less than 1/4” thick and the sauce was watery, plus the mushrooms were slimy and canned, not fresh! The flavor of the sauce was good but the chicken was dry and incredibly thin.

We watched a server drop a cup of water on a lady at the table next to us, they immediately moved her to another table but the water remained a pool on the floor for over an hour. Nobody ever came to clean it up.

We were charged for extra sauce which we didnt ask for. We never got refills, despite asking multiple servers for drink refills.

The mens bathroom was closed, the toilet was clogged. We had to go nextdoor to Freddys in order to go to the bathroom.

I used to love this place, but Sandra’s service is consistently awful. I had to go out of my way to ask Joaquin for her name, because she refused to give it to me. Joaquin was great, by the way, super helpful and accommodating. But then Sandra was back at the front, rude and argumentative as usual. Honestly, she shouldn’t be allowed to interact with customers. Maybe she’d be better off in the kitchen or cleaning tables. The rest of the staff and the food are great, but Sandra is making me want to take my business elsewhere. Seriously, do yourself a favor and ask for a different server.”

Say hello to Sandra.

I went to El Matador with a friend. We got queso and our two meals, which were pretty good. Our check was 60 dollars for those three things. They charged us for something extra and the fountain drink was 6 dollars. The prices are insane.

What a gem of Fayetteville, AR. I was traveling from out of state and found myself hankering for some quality Mexican food. This was one of the top listing, and now I know why. I walked in and was promptly greeted by very friendly staff members. I was immediately seated and brought the requisite chips and salsa. Even though it was an hour before close the chips were hot and fresh like they were made just for me. After a quick deliberation I decided to order the chimichanga with fajita steak as the protein. Within SEVEN minutes I was presented with a piping hot plate of deliciousness. The chimi was fried to perfection and the steak meat was fantastically seasoned and juicy. If I ever find myself in Fayetteville, AR again, I will definitely be stopping by again.
