In the 50’s, pharmacist Doc Young operated Hillside Drugstore. The Drugstore closed in the 70’s and the building was lovingly restored by the Hillside Farmacy team, who were honored to receive a Preservation Austin Award for their efforts. In 2019 the building was designated a Texas Historical Landmark and is still proudly owned by Doc Young’s family. Now serving local farm to table food.

Hillside Farmacy has to be the cutest, most exquisite, decadent venue, chic ambiance, adorable zen, fabulous food & spot on service. Sadly this is late but better late than never. The citrus Salad with added shrimp was the absolute highlight of my life! I can still taste the mind-blowing flavors of the pecans, grapefruit & more. That cider was soooooooooo yummy! I can’t wait to dine here again.

From the first bite to the last sip, this place delivers. The crab cake was outstanding, the perfectly seasoned steak was cooked just right and paired beautifully with rich mashed potatoes and green beans, and the espresso martini was crafted to absolute perfection. The service was attentive, friendly, and made the entire experience even more enjoyable. The old-fashioned décor and undeniable charm give the restaurant a warm, timeless feel. A must-visit.

10/23 impromptu dinner date night with hubby. They had a big party event but the staff still seated us and gave us good service. It’s a fun place to enjoy a no-frail casual French bistro meal.

Yup! This is the place to be for brunch. We went on a Saturday morning and it wasn’t super busy. Service was fast, ambience was fantastic, and food was to die for! We got a pastry, two drinks, and our main dish all for under $65!

My family came into town, and they love brunch. We went to Hillside on a Friday. It is so cute inside. The service was great! Everyone really enjoyed their food. They had great offerings for the kids too. It’s a great spot.

Came for an impromptu dinner on a Friday night as there was a ton of availability. It was pretty empty. Sat down and ordered shrimp cocktail (small and overcooked) trout (lathered in to much butter) and a chicken sandwich that tasted like I could have made it ten times better at home.
I remember a few years ago I had a good dinner experience but it seems the quality has taken a hit. I’m hopeful with enough feedback that the quality will improve. Great location and good atmosphere.

Quaint place to eat for any meal, they also have oysters should you like those. Several coffee drinks and cocktails. Staff is very nice and the music is great. Mostly new wave music.
