Sleek Japanese restaurant offering dramatic cooking at hibachi grill tables plus a sushi bar.

The food is amazing. The chefs whip the sushi up fresh and delicious. I think this place is so well loved, it’s beginning to show some wear.

Words cannot express how much I love this place. The owner and staff are incredible and so is the food!! The sushi is insanely good, always fresh and beautifully prepared by their sushi chefs. I personally recommend the Rising Sun Roll and the Shrimp Tempura Roll (but my mom will always go for the Sunny’s Shrimp Roll)! And if you’re not feeling sushi or just want something hot and delicious they have a cornucopia of options! Their udon soups are absolutely the best I’ve ever had, and the hibachi is absolutely flipping delicious. The hibachi chefs are also wonderful- interactive and fun, goofy and professional.
Suffice to say, I love this place and I think you will too!

We went to Sakura as it was convenient, basically opposite the Hampton Inn where we were staying. We did not expect much when we went, but while waiting we noticed it was really busy for take-away. The atmosphere was also really nice. It seems to be a popular place.
All I can say is I was really surprised at just how good the food quality was, the sushi was excellent and not only was it delicious and high quality, it was also good value for money.
I would certainly recommend having a meal here.

We stopped by for lunch and tried a couple of sushi rolls. The sushi was decent—not the most memorable, but acceptable. The Super Crunchy Roll, however, was a bit challenging to eat due to the oversized pieces. I wasn’t a fan of the wasabi and ginger served at the table, as they didn’t feel particularly fresh.
Service was friendly and attentive, which we appreciated. One concern was the open water station at the bar—it felt a bit unhygienic, as it could be exposed to dust or insects. The overall ambiance of the restaurant was average—not particularly impressive, but not unpleasant either.
Given the fair pricing, I’d rate the experience 3 out of 5, possibly 4 out of 5 if value is the primary factor.

Usually pretty slow, especially for the Hibachi. Even if you have reservations, they’ve prioritized seating walk ins before us, which has made us need to wait over 20 minutes to be seated, passed our reservation time. Hibachi wait staff has always been friendly, as have the chefs. The food is always good, the veggies aren’t always fresh and have an old odor to them sometimes. The soup and salad have gone downhill significantly in theaters few years, with the soup essentially tasting like Luke warm bath water, and the salad being almost a coleslaw feel (iceberg and mayo). The establishment feels pretty run down and I wish they’d change the ambiance and lut a little more effort not only into the decorative details, but also the food. Still good, still has potential.

I would not take a first date here, it was very loud. Not good for casual conversation. The food was good. One plate was dropped, and my wife got charged for the wrong tables check. Otherwise, I would try it again. Maybe not on a Friday night, it was busy!

Great dinner. Did not know this place was her and was suggested by some co workers. We started with a tuna roll, a dragon roll, and a California roll. The sushi was very good, although the meal was large and we probably did not need them. But they were worth it.
For dinner my wife had the salmon, my mother had the steak and shrimp, my
9 year old daughter had the kids shrimp, and I had the filet lignin and shrimp. The portions were very generous. The meal
Started with some fried rice (a lot of fried rice) and some grilled vegetables.
The cook was very entertaining, and made our meal enjoyable. He had a great sense of humor. Had planned on having dessert but we all ended up taking about half of our meal home.
The restaurant was clean and the staff were very attentive and friendly. I am sure we will go back again.
We were one of the first parties there (4 of us). Was glad my friends had recommended reservations, because by the time we left the restaurant was filling up.

The conveyor sushi was our reason for stopping in to try this restaurant on our way home to Canada. We sat at the bar with the sushi going by in front of us. The selection was good and the food was fresh. The chefs were preparing more plates as we ate. We noticed families sitting at tables coming up to the conveyor to select plates and take them back to their tables. We also ordered appetizer tempura which was served hot and fresh. Behind us, a group was having a fun experience at the large sit down table with the chef in the middle cooking. There’s a lot of options in this restaurant! It is a bit tired looking inside, but all looked very clean.
When we asked for bill we found that we’d been charged a dollar less for each plate than advertised pricing and so we’re guessing that we hit a happy hour or something. We visited at 2:30pm and it wasn’t that busy.

DEFINITELY need a reservation at least a day ahead!
Such a fun experience! Our chef was amazing! It was an exceptional meal, although it did have way more salt and butter than I am accustomed to. (It came out to nearly a stick of butter per customer)
Still, would highly recommend the experience at least once. Definitely not gluten free, they use soy sauce in everything.
