First time coming and ordered food to go, definitely will never come on a weekend again it was a disaster in there which equalled to my meal being inedible apparently because it was so burnt to the container that I couldn’t even move it, which was a chimichanga so there was absolutely no cheese as it was burnt up. Took a picture but there’s no option to share…

Everything Venturas is great. We have never been disappointed. They also have excellent soups, ribs and burgers, Cajun chicken nachos and margaritas having to be our favorite thank you Venturas.

We found Ventura’s through the Toledo Foodie Cards and are so happy we did! The unique atmosphere was perfect for us, the history was fun to learn, the food was delicious with great portion sizes, and the service was great!

DO NOT GO HERE for authenticity. Im pretty sure tostitos salsa is what they bring to the table. Ordered tacos and nachos and they used VELVEETA! More than disappointed . Great margs and mexi potato skins! Service was phenomenal. Place was clean.

My wife has had positive memories of this place from the past so we tried it at Covid time and it was pretty rough. Well, I thought that that’s a really bad time to gauge someone on a restaurant so we gave it a try again yesterday. I knew I was in trouble when I saw the salsa that they brought to the table with the chips. I’m not sure if that was Tostitos salsa out of the potato chip aisle at Meijer or something like it, but I knew it was a bad sign. I’ve never been to a Mexican restaurant that didn’t make their own salsa. Once the entrée got my to the table…really I was not sure if I was in a mexican restaurant anymore. Did they really use American cheese in that mexican entrée? The chicken was rubbery. I’m going to be generous and say that the service was OK. I didn’t want to do a review the same day because I wanted to sleep on it, but when the bad memories popped in my head the next day, I knew I had to write something. Maybe just a bad day at the restaurant for the cook? I hope they improve. The restaurant business has ALOT of very good options in Toledo.

I stopped in today for a quick lunch; sat at the bar, as I was alone. I ordered 6 cheese nachos with a side of guacamole and sour cream. Delicious. I was quite surprised, however, that the nachos cost $3.99, while the 2″ sides of guacamole and sour cream were $5!! The little sides cost more than the 6 nachos! I questioned it, but the bartender said that is the cost to add guac and sour cream. My bad for not asking how much the sides would cost; I just assumed they were around $1 each like most places. I won’t be back, for nachos, anyway.

The girl at the host table was overwhelmed and rude about it. She gave us attitude after saying we were next up then proceeded to call 5 other groups and when we reasonably had a question about it she was very rude, I’ve been here plenty of times and there is always a long wait that I don’t mind waiting so it’s not like it was “extra busy” for her. But the food is pretty decent and our actual waitress was very very nice and even though it was busy she kept bringing chips while we waited. The wait every-time I go the wait is usually 45 minutes to and hour but again personally I don’t mind the wait.

Umm how is this place always packed? The servers are rude had no problem telling us that all the food was frozen! Like this was the nachos we got they are literally store bought chips and cheese melted on top.. don’t waste your money or time trying to come here.

I’ve been a loyal customer of this restaurant for a while and usually have a great experience. However, my recent visit for a to-go order left much to be desired. I placed a fairly large order, totaling around $30, and included my usual favorite: the Fried Ice Cream.
In the past, they’ve always kept the Fried Ice Cream in the freezer until I arrived, ensuring it stayed intact. Unfortunately, this time, they did not. When I picked up my order, I found the Fried Ice Cream completely melted, essentially a waste of money.
Had I knew they wouldn’t store it properly, I would have adjusted my pickup time accordingly. They told me it would take 15 to 20 minutes, which I adhered to, only to be disappointed. I wouldn’t have waited that long or ordered it at all if I’d known I was getting a melted mess instead of a treat.
