Service was slow. Our order was taken, but when the food came out, my son’s plate was forgotten, so we had to wait even longer for his meal. The food quality and portion sizes have gone downhill significantly. The chile fries, which used to be stacked and filling, were just a few bites and gone. The chile itself doesn’t taste the same anymore.
Another issue was with our drinks. When our sodas were refilled, the old ice wasn’t dumped out—more soda was just poured on top. This left the drinks watered down and pretty unpleasant.
What really sealed the experience was checkout. I was told I would not be charged for my son’s cheeseburger meal since it was forgotten, but it still showed up on the receipt. I don’t mind paying for it—but don’t tell me I wasn’t being charged when I clearly was.
Overall, it was a very disappointing experience. Unfortunately, I won’t be visiting Santiago’s again.
They’re getting desperate for $$ because they charge such a low price for breakfast burritos! I’ve eaten there for years, but won’t be returning. I’ve found a better place on Federal. I ordered 1 burrito, I can’t eat more than 3/4. When I got home I realized there were 2 burritos in the bag. I gladly would’ve taken the 2nd one back. Instead I saw a charge to my credit card for the 2nd one. Technically, that was a fraudulent charge because I didn’t authorize it. I won’t be eating there again. Most places take responsibility for their mistake and don’t charge the customer!
Very inappropriate…. They got a to go order both times . Other Family members had the same experience….. I know Family members are not going back…. They did leave a tip but it’s up to the customer if they want to leave one or not, they felt pressured… and said the girl had a attitude and was rude..

My boyfriend went back while I was in class to retrieve the correct order, and an employee gave it to him without requesting additional payment. However, while I was in class, I received multiple phone calls from the store. When I called back, I spoke with a woman named Christian, who rudely demanded that I return to the store a third time to pay an additional amount. I explained that I didn’t have time and that it was the staff’s responsibility to ensure payment before handing out food.
Christian then stated she would add my phone number to a “do not serve” list because I “didn’t want to pay” for the order—an outrageous and unprofessional response. This was absolutely unacceptable behavior for any establishment.
