Went here for brunch on a Sunday while visiting ATL. This place was rather busy but we were able to be seated quickly. This restaurant has an old fashioned diner vibe. Although they were very busy, the service was prompt and attentive. My wife had the yogurt and I had the Western Omelet. Not only was the omelet full of ingredients, I’m guessing that whatever ham, onions, and peppers fell out of the eggs was piled on to the side of the plate. This was probably one of the best omelets I’ve ever eaten. Taste and consistency of the eggs were perfect. I asked for salsa to put on my omelet and it had great flavor and was not overly watery. I will be back here again for breakfast on my next visit to Atlanta. Parking is in an adjacent pay lot and can be hard to access depending on the time you arrive. The restaurant does however cover the parking fee. Payment for parking is done through your phone, so wait until you get inside to scan their QR code to get your parking paid for by the restaurant. All day long, this place is .

Back in the mid-to-late ‘80s, this was my go-to post-club spot … dozens of visits stumbling in after nights out for eggs, grits, corned-beef hash, toast, and endless coffee refills while dishing with friends. Opened in 1929, the Majestic has been dishing out “Food That Pleases” with its iconic neon sign and Art Deco vibes, once a true 24/7 magnet for Atlanta’s eclectic crowd: drag queens, partygoers, and night owls alike.
Jump ahead 30+ years, and my wife and I returned for brunch. The nostalgia hit strong … that glowing exterior, the entrance with its classic tile work, the open grill in action, chrome counter, and booths (though the tables now run vertical instead of horizontal). Flood of old memories, and we had a solid time reminiscing over our plates.
Let’s keep it honest: the food’s always been reliable diner fare – never gourmet standout – and it remains solidly okay today. Perfectly decent French toast with berries and whipped cream, or scrambled eggs with grits and corned-beef hash, but nothing that’ll blow your mind.
Service was friendly and efficient from a younger, much more diverse staff (a big change from the mostly older, white crew back in the ‘80s). The energy’s calmer now – no wild late-night scenes – since they dropped 24/7 post-COVID and stick to 7:30am-2:30pm.
If you’re chasing Atlanta history and a no-frills breakfast/lunch that hits the spot without pretending to be fancy, this enduring landmark delivers. Worth a visit for the throwback feels alone.

Sheila was my wait staff and I chatted with the cooks too as I sat at the counter seating. Had a lovely meal prepared promptly and served hot. Sheila was very attentive. During a slow part of the day we all shared some information on food and fun. The tzatziki is made in house and wonderful! I ordered the Olympic Omelette and Sheila said I’d made a popular choice. I see why! Spinach, feta, fresh tomato, sauté onions and peppers with gyro meat! Tzatziki sauce on side. I can’t eat grits so I had a side of berries with whipped cream Sheila helped me come up with.

This gem is a must. The ambiance has a comfortable vibe. The decor is nostalgia personified. It’s sad that the menu and hours have been shortened since The Vid of 2020. But the food is still on point for deliciousness. Soft, flavorful French toast with just the right amount of cinnamon. Bacon, while firm, is very pliable to the bite. The staff’s always friendly and super efficient. I look forward to going back.

Best tasting cheese burger and great service with friendly staff. Server was very helpful when we told her we had a movie in an hour. She made sure the food came in a timely manner.

Came here because it looked really cool. My wife got the gyro omelette and I got the cheddar burger, both were huge! The food was good especially the omelette. Our waitress was super friendly and quick. Over all we had a great morning brunch here. As a bonus the bathrooms are nice bright and clean.

The cheddar burger was Majestic, but the the patty melt was a Diner.

I hadn’t been to the Majestic for over 40 years, since I was at Ga Tech. Took my family there for breakfast after our oldest son’s wedding. Food was amazing and the service quick. We only waited about 15 minutes for our party of 8 to be seated. It was crowded and loud which triggered one of our party’s PTSD and they had an anxiety attack. Not the location’s fault, but wanted others sensitive to loud noises to be aware. A wonderful blast from the past and overall a wonderful experience.
