Holy smokes (lol)! This is the BEST place. The food was UNREAL, the people were so kind and we were lucky enough to bring some of that delicious bbq sauce home with us. We had the smoked and deep fried chicken wings- so good. The brisket and pulled pork burgers were so good we almost ordered more to bring back to our hotel for breakfast. A must visit for sure!

So upon pulling in the parking lot it was rough and we almost left but that’s not the restaurants fault and as soon as you pull in the smell of the delicious bbq inside grabs you. The outside seating area out front isn’t bad and we were told the back seating was amazing but the inside was tight but quaint. The service was not bad but they were a little overly attentive which makes me a little apprehensive about the food sometimes but no complaints about taste or flavor. We started with the appetizers ( Alabama shrimp and BBQ egg rolls) amazing. Egg rolls could have been a meal. Then the brisket and pulled pork were mouth watering. The side choices were the usual for a BBQ joint and the collared greens were delicious and that’s a big factor for us. A lot of spots screw them up but theirs were delicious. Also the spicy cabbage is a must try. A word of advice, the mango wheat ale so very much compliments the food. Would definitely stop again. If your over that way stop and try them out. You won’t be disappointed.

An unforgettable meal at Taino Smokehouse in Middletown!
We had an amazing experience from start to finish. We ordered the brisket meal, fried chicken meal, chicken bites, mac and cheese, and of course, the cornbread—and every single bite was incredible. The brisket was tender, smoky, and full of flavor. The fried chicken had the perfect crunch on the outside and was juicy on the inside. The chicken bites were crispy, well-seasoned, and addicting. The mac and cheese was creamy, cheesy, and comforting—everything you’d want in a side dish.
And we can’t forget the cornbread—sweet, moist, and served warm. It was the perfect addition to the meal and honestly some of the best we’ve ever had.
We also enjoyed the sweet tea, which was perfectly refreshing and hit the spot on a warm day. We sat on the outdoor patio, which is beautifully set up with a great atmosphere—comfortable, clean, and relaxing.
The service was fantastic—friendly, fast, and attentive. You can tell the staff takes pride in the food and the experience they provide.
Taino Smokehouse is a must-visit if you’re in or around Middletown. Whether you’re in the mood for amazing BBQ, comfort food, or just a great place to unwind, this spot checks all the boxes. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Went with friends a few days ago for a birthday, Austin was so adorable and sweet! We ordered the meat by the pound, 1/2 lb chicken, pulled pork, sausage, brisket, and 1/2 rack ribs. I was excited because they run out of ribs later on and I finally got to try them. I had it with a side of their voodoo sauce, corn breads to go around, and mac and cheese. Everything was really good and Austin was so kind and helpful! Not overbearing, attentive, and good humored.

This place is a little gem. The food …kiss to the chef amazing. The atmosphere has a chill low key vibe. Lots of photo ops for your followers. Great outdoor seating, hanging lights and cool breeze. The head chef was personable…greeting and talking with every table. This is a must STOP if you’re in Middletown. The outside venue has full service and everything you need. At first impressions the inside seating is small and attached to a hardware store. But turn the corner and you’ve traveled to a little paradise. This place is dog friendly and total promotes unwinding.

We ordered takeout because we were on the go and it truly missed the marked. Even though we made sure to request it, there were no plates, cutlery or even napkins. Missing these details made it feel like the restaurant doesn’t give take out orders much care or attention.
Food was as expected for a smokehouse chain. Better than Ruby Tuesday but lacks the soul of other regional eateries. Pulled pork was plentiful and tasty, although somewhat dried out after having to reheat. Potato salad was pretty basic and surprisingly bland. Greens were excellent.
I hope they can improve their takeout service ie remember basics like utensils and napkins. For now it’s a hard pass on Taino.

It’s simply amazing. I ordered the fried chicken, the glaze was sweet, and the chicken was crispy. Paired with some creamy mashed potatoes and some tasty baked beans. I just moved to the area and so far this place takes the cake. Great value on price here as well.

Wow! Food was AMAZING ordered the smoked chicken sandwhich, meat was Smokey and tender! So much meat on the sandwhich it was falling out. The potatoe salad was different I enjoyed it very much! The star was the bbq egg rolls were sooooo dang good me and my husband tore them up! Can’t wait to go there again!
