The atmosphere was small and friendly but the service was more than professional. I will stop at Garcia’s Everytime we come through here again. Food was amazing. Thank you so much!

Always consistanly good, I had that fajita’s but they were done up Garcia style, which I really liked. I had beef and chicken, but they cooked the meats with green and red chlie (xmas) if you know you know, it was delicious, my wife had the combo plate she enjoyed, and we also indulged in the green chile stew, great flavor plenty of heat.

I bought 2 enchilada and tamale combination plates on February 5th as carry out from the San Mateo store. I found both orders of rice were not cooked all the way just under half way done. The tamales on both orders were dry as hell even with the chili and cheese covering both of them. It’s sad how Garcia’s used to be top shelf but not anymore. I used to be a regular customer but decided to stop going due to such a low bar for food quality. I’ve gotten dry flautas, papas that are half raw and whole beans that are not done. I would rather go out my way to Monroe’s where the food has been consistently edible not inedible. The past 20 years of low quality food from this establishment is just alarming. It’s also sad that the owner will only respond to good comments. He apparently condones the crappy food.

The Garcias on the Westside at La Orilla is so much better and full-service. This place should not be charging full menu prices. Everything was on paper plates, the sopas were old and reheated, the huevos ranchos were not hot. 2 smothered burritos, one huevos rancheros with a side of carne adovada, a small and a large coke, and a child’s chicken nuggets: $69. Never ever again

Solid, fast New Mexican food- burritos, fajitas, etc. Friendly staff. The dining area was a bit cold in the winter (and it’s clearly more drive-through focused), but the food was a good, simple take on some classics, and great portions!

It might have been a great breakfast burrito, but they forgot the bacon. Hopefully they will be more careful next time. I’m sure it’s usually great, just didn’t happen to be on my visit.

I don’t know what happened to Garcia’s . Use to be absolutely delicious. I got chicken hard tacos they were drenched and soggy as hell the tamales were over smothered to hide the horrible taste of them and they hardly have not meat. You all need to step it back up

I recently had an event where I had to feed 30 people for lunch and found myself in a bind without a caterer the day before. I called late in the afternoon and talked with Juan who assured me he could take care of it. We worked out a menu and were able to pick it up the next day at 11:00 am without any issue. He made the process so easy, offered suggestions on quantities, and the menu and was overall helpful and encouraging. I have always loved Garcias but now they are in my top restaurants for catering lunches. We did a build your own taco bar and our group loved it and it was half the price of what I had previously priced with other places. We will definitely be back!

Chicken flautas ala carte were burnt but the guacamole sauce was good . Side of chicharrones was also good but the flour tortillas instantly became hard like cardboard once unwrapped from the aluminum foil .

Delicious food at a good price! To me, there’s nothing better in Albuquerque than a Garcia’s on San Mateo #5 burrito with refried beans, handheld, extra cheese, red on the side! The refried beans are always perfect, their cheese is delicious, and the red chile tastes like my grandma’s. The tortillas are the best part because they are homemade with that thickness and soft texture that tells you it’s not store bought. The prices are still quite fair considering this burrito is under $7 after adding extra cheese. I love this place so much. Their beef flautas are also the best in town. Salsa is so good. Service is always excellent. Today the sweetest person there even gave me treats for my pups. I’ve been going here forever and this location never disappoints. Did I mention they have drive through ordering?!
