This is a good place for dinner. The portions are huge and the food is good.
The dining area is nice but loud when they’re busy. They’ve got a bunch of tvs if you’re into watching sports while you’re eating. The vibe is more sports bar than restaurant, even though there were lots of tables and booths.
I had the Pork Schnitzel, and it was cooked perfectly. The side vegetables were simple but good. My wife had the hamburger sliders, which were really good as well.
I would go here again.

This was my first time visiting this restaurant, I was meeting up a friend for their lunch. The service was outstanding, not one complaint there. They were very helpful, polite, and flexible with the menu. I was on a strict diet, and they were able to accommodate my needs. The food itself was just pleasant, I know chicken and salmon can be challenging to cook. It was just a bit dry, but the flavors were very tasty. The atmosphere during lunch was nice, not too busy, luckily for us with only an hour. If you’re in a rush, you might want to let them know. The food could take a while to get. Outside of that, everything was great. If I get a chance, I will be back to try a different plate.

Wednesday night dinner meant epic food and drinks! The service was great the music was fun, and the food was incredible! This place I felt was underrated and between the specials, food quality, happy hour, and much more was definitely not as full as it should be! We can’t wait to be regulars!

Took the family out to Black Horse for a meal where I thought it would be a lovely atmosphere. Instead the football game was blasting loud and everyone looked disappointed while watching the game. It was difficult to have a conversation because the TVs were so loud. We started with an order of Irish nachos which weren’t more than warm. I ordered the classic burger and when it was delivered everyone at the table thought the server said the plastic burger so that was pretty funny. It was incredibly salty and the cheese only covered half the patty. Others ordered the Caesar salad, the chicken sandwich, and the pork schnitzel which came with veggies. Nothing was hot and the veggies were cold, completely undercooked from whatever frozen state they started in. Overall it was a bit disappointing not to have a new place to go with the family as this was at a good midway point for everyone in the group coming from different cities. I would say this is a great place if you want to watch the football game and tune out. I saw kids laying in the booth playing on their iPads while parents enjoyed the game. It’s chill, no frills.

My wife and I took a shot at the “Black Horse Tavern” and was so glad we did. What an absolute gem. Started off with the Garlic Sweet Potatoe Fries and boy, they didn’t disappoint. Nice and golden with garlic and parsley with ranch for dipping. My wife ordered the pulled pork egg rolls that had a little bit coleslaw insided, drizzled with BBQ sauce. I went for the grilled chicken sandwich that was cooked to perfection with chimichuri, lettuce, tomato, grilled onions and avacado sliced between a brioche bun. I wish i had taken pictures of the before, becuase there is nothing to show. Lol. Compliments to everyone, because we will DEFINITELY BE BACK..!

Wanted to celebrate the 3 day weekend somewhere other than a chain restaurant, so we went here.
It’s a local dive bar that reminded me a bit of the one in the TV show “Cheers” because the bar is in the middle and the stools are wrapped around it.
Someone came in after us and was like “It’s so dark in here!” and the waitress said it does take some getting used to. I looked it up and apparently, bars do it on purpose to make the atmosphere cozier.
We arrived early a few minutes before they opened and there was already a couple ahead of us waiting for the doors to open, but since we came so early, we had to wait a while for our food and I even had to cancel the appetizer because I was told it wouldn’t be ready even after our main courses were served.
As a vegetarian, there are a few salads to choose from, but the majority of them still have some type of meat in them, so I ordered the Fresh Vegetable Plate that you could add meat to for an extra fee. The cream tasted good and the vegetables were so freshly cooked that I had to blow on them to cool them off.
My sister got the Chicken Fried Steak and the portions were so big that she took some home and got a second meal out of it.
The seasonal menu had something with a fun name called the “Marry Me Chicken”, maybe because it’s so good you want to marry it?
And keeping with the Norco “Horse Town USA” theme, there were horse photos on the walls. The one that caught my eye was by the restrooms. It was of a horse in a crate about to be mailed. I wasn’t aware they used to mail horses like that.
So the bar/restaurant is a fun piece of Americana and Norco pride.

The food is bland and flavorless. I ordered the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and veggies. The breading on the steak had no flavor, mashed potatoes were bland, and steamed veggies had not the slightest bit of salt. The only thing with slight flavor was the gravy. Tried my son’s Brunch burger and didn’t taste anything but bread and meat. The fries were plain and unseasoned. Wife ordered the fish and chips. Fish was flavorless and very oily. I think the best thing we had was the wings as an appetizer

Wow!! Our first time here was last night. Kelsey was our server and she was awesome, even recommending some great menu items. She was very attentive and polite. I had the House Specialty – Hanger Steak, cooked medium and it was flavorful, tender and perfectly cooked. My wife had the pork schnitzel and it was excellent also. Our daughter had the clam chowder in the MASSIVE sourdough bread bowl, but I particularly enjoyed the potato cheese soup (which Kelsey recommended!). For starters, we had the bone-in wings with BBQ sauce and they were crispy and delish! The only warning I would give? They have HUGE portions, so you will likely need to-go boxes after (we had several!), but Black Horse Tavern & Grill gives a incredible value for the price – which is actually very reasonable. Also clean bathrooms and great ambience. Highly recommended. We will be back. If you haven’t already, you really need to check this place out. Ask for Kelsey!
