We visited on Christmas Eve. The restaurant has plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors, and we had made a reservation almost two months in advance, expecting a peaceful table. Instead, we were seated tightly next to another occupied table even though there was visible space elsewhere. I understand Christmas Eve can be busy, but it’s not pleasant to overhear other people’s conversations when space is available.

The menu looks promising at first glance, but unfortunately that’s where things stalled.

We ordered the Buffalo Cauliflower and Masala Puri (both house specials) as appetizers, followed by the Jackfruit Biryani Medley. The Masala Puri was okay, but the Buffalo Cauliflower was quite subpar — it felt like deep-fried cauliflower with minimal or no batter and buffalo sauce poured on top. The biryani arrived only a few minutes after the starters and was already cold, making it hard to pick up any real flavor.

We then tried a masala dosa, hoping to recover the meal, but that didn’t help either. The sambhar didn’t resemble sambhar, and the coconut chutney was mostly just coconut with little depth.

At that point, there wasn’t much value in going back and forth. The only real highlight of the evening was the Prosecco.

The staff did try their best, but there seemed to be a clear mismatch between what customers expect and what was delivered. I understand the restaurant may have been overwhelmed due to Christmas Eve, but food quality really shouldn’t suffer because of that.

Unfortunately, this experience left us with no reason to rate it higher.

I recently visited Namaste Village and was genuinely impressed. The food was incredibly flavorful, with each dish prepared using fresh ingredients and authentic spices specially the starter platter with beetroot kabab and onion bhaji.
The service was warm and attentive, and the atmosphere felt welcoming and comfortable.
A highlight of the visit was the dessert—“Hindustani “absolutely lovely! Twist to routine gulab jamun ice cream .It was the perfect finish to an already delicious meal.

highly recommended for anyone craving authentic, delicious Indian food. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Went to Namaste Village Oxford for dinner. I ordered the chef’s special dosa, but unfortunately I didn’t like it at all — the stuffing was very disappointing and didn’t live up to how it was described on the menu. The restaurant itself is decent and a nice place to go out. What really stood out, though, was the service. Our server Khushi was absolutely lovely and made the experience much better with her warm and friendly attitude. Sadly, the food let me down, but the service definitely made the visit more pleasant.

Food was beautiful, staff were all very friendly and attentive. I visited with my mum before a theatre show, and we shared lots of different dishes – all were very nice, as well as the mocktails we tried!
Would definitely go back again.

Wanted to visit this place for awhile now and tonight I finally did. I’m so glad I did! We literally had to stop ourselves from ordering the whole menu! Staff were lovely, the food was so delicious! I love that everything is suitable for vegetarians and there are even tonnes of vegan options. Perfect for a date night or an outing with your besties!

Food was amazing authentic Indian cuisine, I must say. Had Panner Angara, Gobi Manchurian, Jackfruit Biryani. All were really truly delicious . Service was good as well, better to book in advance. Could be gem for Vegetarian, lots of delicacies to try for sure. Near to Westgate mall.
One thing could be improved is the quantity to be honest. Panner Anagara had only 4 small panner cubes, biryani was sufficient for only 1 person.
Parking can be located nearby, but it’s better to use Pear tree Park & Ride parking, in which bus return travel is complimentary.

The food was delicious, the staff were very friendly, and the atmosphere was lovely. Would come again! I had mango lassi, masala puri and masala dosa. Was really happy to see that the mango lassi can be made vegan! I also got gobi manchurian, sweet naan, bombay aloo and garlic naan and chilli garlic naan for takeaway. Definitely recommend

I was pleasantly surprised when I saw that a new vegetarian/vegan restaurant had opened in Oxford. I must admit I wasn’t aware it was a chain of restaurants until I saw it on the menu, I think.
Talking about the food, I had ordered khaman and aloo chaat.
The khaman came first followed by chaat about 5 minutes later.
The khaman came with coriander chutney on top as a garnish. They were soft and tasty BUT, please do not mess with this classic Gujarati dish. It’s supposed to have mustard seed tadka (vaghar) with green chillies and curry leaves. The coriander chutney and tamarind or khajur chutney is served separately.
The chaat was supposed to have hash browns but all i think I got was a couple of small 1 inch cubes of roasted potatoes in it.
The chick peas were basically chana masala curry and then topped with yogurt and chutneys.
Personally, chana masala curry was too spicy and overpowering in this dish. The yogurt should have been thinned out a bit as was too thick and also not enough so basically it made the dish very stodgy. It was flavourful none the less.
The service could be improved. I believe i was the only customer and the waiter was no where to be seen-maybe he was helping in the kitchen? A couple came a little later and I could see that they too were waiting to place an order or wanted to speak with the waiter. I had to ask him for a Dessert menu instead of him being proactive.
The takeaway packaging was of cardboard which is commendable. The waiter was pleasant enough once he came over but I’m afraid I don’t want to be trying to get the waiter’s attention all the time. It’s disappointing that a chain of restaurants is trying to cut corners by either not hiring experienced waiters or not providing adequate training.
The decor was ethnic and fairly smart.
I’ll surely visit this place again.

Ambience feels like proper Indian restaurant. Aayush served us well and gave good suggestions. Dishes were all very tasty especially starters like beetroot kebab and buffalo cauliflower. Dessert “Hindustani” was too good.

The food was lovely! We really enjoyed the menu, and it was all vegetarian. Service was very attentive, although maybe a tad too much upselling. The only thing I found a bit cheeky was the poppadoms. We got asked if we would like ‘two lots of poppadoms’, and the menu also makes it sound as if it’s £1.25 per serving – we got given 8 poppadoms (between 4) and charged £10, as well as £3.90 for the mango chutney. Everything else was pretty fairly priced but nearly £14 seems super steep for poppadoms and dip.
