First thing first: you gotta be very cautious if you don’t want to get ripped off by this place. 20% gratuity is added to the bill automatically no matter how big or small your group is – I only found that out after looking at their menu’s very fine print online again.

Food
I ordered 3 local Sweet Jesus oysters – they are fresh and good, although there is shell in one of them. The oysters is the only reason I am giving 2 stars instead of 1.
Lobster bisque (soup of the day) – Trader Joe’s lobster bisque is probably better
Seared salmon – the salmon is over-cooked. The crab meat on top is good on its own, that’s the only highlight of this dish. I’m not a fish skin person, but the skin is simply missing.
Fish and chips – the fish inside is very flakey which is bad. The worst thing is the fries, they are worse than overnight McDonald’s fries.

Service
If the service has been alright, the 20% auto gratuity would not be a thing.
The host who showed the table was not that friendly.
We were served by a lady at the window side. It seemed she’s rather new or just unprofessional.
Utensils and napkins were not prepared for us until we asked the gentleman who was serving the entrees.
We ordered oysters and a soup as starters, but the soup was served together with the entrees.
When we asked the lady who is serving us for the bill at the end, she asked me to look for the designated server, and I said “it’s you”. The dining side was not busy at all with just 3 tables in total. No one came over to check on whether the food is okay. It made sense now as the server didn’t even remember which tables she’s serving.
She just repeated the dishes we ordered and the total amount without showing us the bill. I gave extra tip without knowing 20% was added already. This service level deserved nothing extra, and not even the 20%.

Atmosphere
The bar side is pretty loud. If you are looking for a more peaceful dining area, this is not the place. But if you are hanging out with friends for a drink or two, it’s totally fine.

The happy hour menu is a great deal! 1.25$ oysters, 6$ sliders and a 9$ shrimp po boy with fries! The food isn’t amazing, but good enough for the price

I’ve read the reviews about the noise level and poor service. The bar area can be particularly noisy. I would suggest sitting in the dinning area to the left once you walk in. As far as service, our waitress India was great. Greeted us in good time and fashion and took our order. I suppose your mileage will vary. And they do include a 20% gratuity in your check. I understand they are trying to make a living or make people pay a tip, but let us decide that. Or provide better service.

They need to get their door under control and put a host in place who knows how to manage tables effectively. I watched them lose patrons due to no one taking control of their host stand on a packed Friday night and people just cutting one another because there was no order. The young man checking people in was clueless and overwhelmed and their wasn’t a leader in sight to help control the happy hour chaos.

That being said, their deals at happy hour are incredible, $6 drinks and food options under $10 that all hit the spot. So they still earn a solid review and recommendation if they get their table management and hosting fixed. Ashley was a wonderful server and kept up with a demanding crowd. Definitely a loud and roudy fun time during HH if you can manage to make it in the place.

I went during Happy hour and it was wonderful!

JP was the waiter (I sat at the bar). It was my first time and he made recommendations. He radiates good energy and fun! If you are a snob or grumpy stay away or he will make you smile.

The King Collins drink he made was . I told him I like “old fashion” and this was perfect.

I ordered the oysters, salmon sliders( no picture) and the beef sliders. Delicious!! Everything was perfectly seasoned and not super salty. If you love oysters, this place is a must. I say this because I am NOT a huge fan and they were tender and jumped in my mouth with no effort .

If you are visiting the Noma DC area stop here. It does get busy so be prepared.

Our first visit and we’re already planning our next HH here. Ashley & the gentlemen working the service well were both super attentive and smiley! We ordered off the HH menu and everything was great. Oysters for $1.25 on a Sunday, and the jalapeño mignonette was our favorite. The Salmon BLT sliders and crispy Brussels were delish. Can’t wait to come back! 10/10

I really enjoyed my time at this spot. The drinks were great, I loved the oysters, service was on point, and the pricing was very reasonable. The atmosphere is super cute and makes for a nice night out. The only downside was the parking, which was a bit of a headache. Other than that, definitely worth checking out.

Great food and place. Our server Jasmine went above and beyond to make sure our dining experience was the best. Next time we visit we will ask for her to serve us again. She took the time to explain the difference between all the oysters we had. The oysters are fresh and delicious by the way

Went for their happy hour which was bustling. I didn’t care for the hostess who tried to just throw me anywhere inside of a crowded space. I ended up finding a decent seat on the patio and my server was really nice. The food was pretty good, and I didn’t have to wait long even though it was busy. I especially enjoyed the Brussels and the Dubai Chocolate brownie, the salmon sliders could have been better. I’d go again.

Happy Hour is the best time to experience this place. Great selection, great food, great service, and the vibe was perfect for an after-work moment. I could talk with my friend about my day and still enjoy the energy of the space. The oysters and froze were so good. Really solid spot.
