Pro tip: ask for the complimentary sourdough bread and butter — it’s not automatically brought out, but they’re happy to provide it if you request it, and it’s a great way to start the meal.
The bar deserves a shout-out too. They make a perfect Manhattan — well balanced, properly stirred, and exactly what you want when you’re watching the water and slowing down for a bit.
Food is solid and dependable, the service is friendly, and the setting does most of the heavy lifting. This is the kind of place you come for the marina views, a good cocktail, and a leisurely meal, not trendy flash — and it delivers on that.
Would absolutely come back, especially for drinks at the bar during the day.
The Malbec was a solid choice at $46 — it definitely did the job and paired well with the meal.
It’s just a shame we went late. It was dark, so we couldn’t really enjoy the marina view or see the boats, which I imagine would make the experience even more special. The large dining area also made it a bit noisy at times. Still, the food truly stood out and made the evening worthwhile.
FOOD: Everyone’s fish was quite tasty. Heck, even my fish and chips than usual — light and crispy batter, hot steak fries. Yum.
While everyone, not surprisingly, had a fish dish, they do have reasonable-looking alternatives. I can’t promise a steak at the seafood joint will be the best, but your non-fish friends will have something they can order.
Cocktails were pretty decent, too.
SERVICE: It was a Friday night, so the place was pretty clouded. Regardless, service was slow to stop by our table, and I’m pretty sure we never got the bread sticks we were supposed to (though we got enough food that they weren’t missed that much).
The service we got was pleasant and professional.
AMBIANCE: The restaurant is on the second floor, looking out over the landing / marina, so even at night it was a very nice view. The interior of the restaurant was clean and nice.
NET-NET: I would go back again if I were in the area and wanted seafood.
The service was friendly and prompt. And the view is amazing. It is definitely worth stopping in if you are in San Pedro!
1- Decoration 6.5/10 The decoration is ok, but some areas need restoration.
2- The atmosphere was 6/10 when I came in it was very quiet, not a lot of people for an award winning place. No laugh or happiness. Maybe I was on the wrong day?
3- service 5/10 The host was so bad that she did like working there . If you don’t like working there, it’s OK. Just find a job, not in the customer service. It took 20 minutes before the waiter came to see me, he didn’t know that kind of drinks they had? They only thing good is that he didn’t charge me for the soupe.
4- The food 8/10 the soupe was very good but the main course that was their salmon with hashbrown was not good, the mashed potatoes was cold and some places warm? They veggies wear a bit cold also. Look at pictures
5- cleanest 7/10 it was mostly clean, but my booth had crumbled on the seats and the restroom smelled bad, with no paper in the restrooms.
I recommend but on the good day.
first rate.
