Stopped here because it was close to my hotel and what can I say the thin crust pizza did not disappoint. perfect consistent of soft and crunchy. The tomatoes sauce was delicious not overpowering of herbs. they do not go light on pepperonis. The only thing I did not like were the Buffalo wings very soggy and soft definitely have had better. Prices are fair. Very large location One big thing you order your food first then you can sit down. A efficient way to run a business but difficult for someone that is new. Definitely recommend this place for pizza you won’t be disappointed.

For a self serve pizza place, not bad. Pizza was flavorful and seemed to be made with fresh ingredients. Crust was cooked well. Service was ok… tables and restrooms were clean. My salad was massive, but nothing special to write home about. I asked for buffalo sauce for my salad and was given bbq sauce. Checked receipt and it had Buffalo sauce called out. Frankly, it wasn’t bad, just nothing to say ‘I want to go back’. Domino’s or Papa John’s delivery is better…

Jake’s is a must stop pizza place. They have great thin crust pizza and the cheese bread is super good. Their ranch is amazing if you’re a pizza and ranch person. Also everything is priced very good.

Far out one of the best pizza. Out of this world. A go too for sure when in Mankato. Even if not in Mankato I would say it’s like a Krispy Creme even if you have to drive a little it’ll be worth it..

My wife ordered a Italian Poor Boy. We couldn’t believe the size of it. Huge!! My son and I ordered the Chicken Bacon Ranch pizza. It was very good. It’s a very nice pizza joint.

A Mankato institution. What else to say other than amazingly good pizza that we have been eating for decades. Always a big hit with out of town guests.

The Pepperoni Pizza and the “Oven Combo” pizza were really good. Great thin, almost cracker-like crust and good toppings.
The Taco Pizza, however, was soggy and the meat didn’t have much taco seasoning.
The plates are the cheapest paper plates you can probably find, but other than that, the place is really nice. Lots of clean booths and tables. Serve-yourself-soda, with nice heavy-duty cafeteria-style glasses. Pick up your pizzas right from the kitchen window.
There’s a lot of sports memorabilia on display (the Minnesota Vikings especially have a lot as they used to hold their training camp in Mankato).

My visitor from Arizona was impressed! Loved the thin crust Pepperoni! Jakes has never not been solid & consistent (for the 45 years I have eaten there). Poor Boys are good. Taco pizza is outstanding. Cheese Bread is a must! The staff is friendly. We ordered pick up, and arroved esrly. Despite being told on the phone how long our pickup would take, a girl ran out to keep us posted with how much time was remaining, and a returning delivery driver checked on us before he went inside. Wonderful experience, and very easy and affordable! Can’t wait for next time!

We ordered nearly 20 pizzas from this pizzeria for a girls’ sporting event at a local school, and everything about the experience was phenomenal! The service was outstanding from start to finish—Andrew, who took our order, was incredibly kind, helpful, and made the whole process seamless. The pizzas were delivered by Brandon on time, piping hot, and absolutely delicious. The girls couldn’t stop raving about how good the pizza was—seriously, not a single slice was left!! We were even able to order gluten-free and dairy free pizzas. Amazing food, amazing service, and an all-around amazing experience. We’ll absolutely be ordering again. In fact, my husband and I have plans to make the trip all the way to Mankato just for this delicious pizza!! Thank you for making our event such a hit!
