The meals have a filling quality that doesnt quite compute at only 420 calories. I had a tortellini and seasons peas the tortellini was fine but the peas have a look and texture of a tonsil stone. Very unappetizing. I dont even think 21 meals will stay fresh before their expiration date

These meals are dangerous, if you care for your loved one switch to meals on wheels asap. I had multiple meals go rancid well before the expiration date, one I didn’t realize was bad and I was sick for 2 days, I have 2 from my last delivery that are rancid and blown up from off gassing. Some of the bread I received was molded, and 1 meal that the tray was broken and missing food but there was none in the box, it was ignored and packaged for delivery. Then the biggest issue came, my caregiver made me the broccoli rice and chicken meal, and 2 bites in I got a long bone lodged in my throat and we had to call 911, I threw up and it dislodged the bone to come out, we sifted through what was left and found another bone. The quality of all of their meals are extremely poor and unsafe. I have reported this to the FDA and filed a grievance against them, so we will see what happens, I just pray these meals don’t take a life before something is done. I think at this point we will also file a lawsuit over the bone incident that could have killed me.

I received the meals as a Medicare Advantage benefit following a hospital stay. I received quite a selection of foods that really helped make meals easy. I certainly like my own cooking better, ego speaking, but enjoyed the Moms Meal’s for their ease of preparation, taste, variety and quality. They made my wife’s life easier, knowing I had ready meals available.

This is literal garbage. Insurance provided throughout my pregnancy. I wouldn’t feed this food to any person that I know. Some meals had enough sugar for the ENTIRE day.
Pick up any frozen meal at the grocery store and I guarantee you it will be healthier than this garbage when comparing notional labels.
Literal garbage. All of it went into the garbage where it belongs.
I would be INCREDIBLY ashamed to represent this company. Have the higher-ups here ever tasted ANY of the food??
Please do not feed your family members whom you care about this “food”.
Saddens me that elderly and sick receive these meals and live off of them. Yikes

I received a package from Mom’s Meals because my insurance provider ordered it for me after I went to a small emergency room at the beginning of this year for an ankle injury. I was never even admitted to the hospital, so I honestly don’t understand why they thought I needed meals sent to me in the first place.
After reading the bad reviews online, I was already a little concerned — and now I can say the bad reviews are absolutely true. I just received these meals today, and they are beyond disgusting. I tried the rice and chicken, and after one bite I instantly lost my appetite. Even just microwaving it made the whole kitchen smell awful. The texture was strange, the flavor was bland and off-putting, and it honestly tasted like one of the worst frozen meals you could imagine. I would rather eat McDonald’s than this garbage.
To make matters worse, I ended up with a stomachache after taking just one bite. It’s extremely disappointing that this is what gets sent out to people who are supposedly recovering and in need of proper nutrition. Based on my experience, the bad reviews are there for a reason.

Hmm. There are some very unfriendly reviews.
I don’t know what other people are expecting or how they are getting food assistance when they do not need it.
I am on permanent disability and groceries keep going up in price.
I used to cook all the time but now my roommate is in charge of meals..
That doesn’t work out great when it comes to edibility or not healthy frozen meals.
Mom’s Meals is made with real food. Depending on which meals you are eating, they taste better than hospital food!
(And much better than my roommate’s)
They have the flavors of the food listed on the label. So the maple waffle with pork sausage, taste like maple waffle with a mild pork sausage. The meatball marinara sub comes with a whole wheat bun that you add the meatballs and sauce too. The meatballs are almost like meatloaf and the tomato sauce has pieces of tomato and other ingredients visible.
I am not eligible for SNAP because I don’t have a job but I survive on SSDI. Mom’s Meals is a much better system, quality ingredients and taste than some other home deliveries. They stay good for 2 weeks but ship out to me weekly.
Perfect? No.
Edible? Yes
Helpful? Extremely
On time? Every time.
For me, it is a lifesaver now that everything including groceries are so much more expensive but I have no more money than before.
*Yes, setting up your online account is difficult but once set up the online website is simple to use.

My mom is in her 90s and has some oral and dental troubles. One of the directors at her independent living apartment recommended the puréed Mom’s Meals. We started not quite a month ago. It’s working out really well. My mom loves the food, and she really loves the ease with which she can eat it and enjoy it. We are very pleased so far and plan to continue it. Thank you for the puréed options, Mom’s Meals. 🙂

I was really happy at first. The food was seasoned so nicely but then became bland. Sometimes the plastic container is cracked and food falling out all over. We have had some bad weather but that’s been done and still not getting our meals ontime, leaving us to throw the big heavy box away. I’m pretty close to where its shipped from and would think that since its perishable, they would have been delivered on-time this week. Ive been using FedEx but switching to UPS to see if that makes a difference as they give you that choice. But here it is… they have no information as to why the delays. They just keep saying the same thing about throwing them away. Ive come across some very rude cs person’s and /or not helpful but most have been great. Re-deliveries are several days out, that’s if they get here! I havent had a good on-time box for several weeks now. I’m disabled, elderly and can only fix easy items to eat. Plus im on a VERY low fixed income. Adult services pays for them with the program im on. Are they being charged for these meals! I’m really not happy right now. You would think they would have a better setup with carriers since these are mostly for elderly, disabled, and those who need special meals due to a health problem, which is a joke. Full of salt, carbs etc. Ok I got it out

To warn you. These are NOT home made meals. Highly processed protein. Bioengineered ingredients. High sodium. Not for people’s consumption. Only really desperate person can eat this. Not too friendly personnel, when you call to express your opinion on this subject. Waste of money. Waste of insurance money, if you get these deliveries through Medicare/Medicaid program.

Andre is the delivery driver.
Wis so nice and helpful. He always delivers my Meals with a smile on his face and make sure to carry the box to a designated spot so that I do not hurt myself picking it up. We need more people in this world with empathy and sympathy like Andre.
As far as the meals are concerned, I’ve got to say they are pretty decent. Also, there’s a lot to choose from. The process of signing up and ordering is very simple. Thanks, mom’s meals.
