Very casual but so cute. Warm friendly and helpful service. Had amazing Bourbon Chicken. Humongous portion- enough for 2 people..Tender chicken with a great char. Surprisingly more chicken than rice. Pecan pie was tempting but will have to try next time.

I ordered delivery and selected the Grilled Chicken Bowtie Pasta and Blackened Baby Back Ribs. The pictures online looked amazing, and I was truly excited to try it. But when I bit into it, it was just bland. Surprisingly, bland. When I think of island or other tropical cuisine, it truly misses the flavor mark. I ended up doctoring up things with my own at home, spices and seasonings. It reminded me of dining at another restaurant where the owners had visited an island and came back with the idea to open a restaurant. Not saying that’s the case here but it feels oddly familiar. Beautiful presentation, though.

We had the Blackened Chicken with Bowie pasta. I liked it but as others have mentioned it is sweet and I personally could had done with a little more heat. I will definitely come back if I am in the area.

The bowtie pasta with blackened chicken was amazing like I’ve read in countless other reviews. Had a sweet sauce that I wasn’t expecting. I was thinking it was gonna have a kick, but I’m cool with sweet. What I didn’t know about going in was the banana cornbread. Good lord it’s other worldly. I’m definitely gonna be back

Lack lots of flavor the shrimp taste like boiled shrimp with black pepper sprinkled on top and the sauce has no flavor it’s to runny and barely covers the noodles the only good thing about this plate is the portion size the bowl is big enough for a couple people to eat this it’s just so plain

I asked several questions to make sure I was getting what I wanted only to get home & realize the cook gave me exactly what I said I didn’t want which is sauce that tastes like it has sugar in it. Also there’s boxes of supplies everywhere so definitely a place to order for pickup if u want sweet chicken

The fact they responded to my review suggesting I order exactly what I got & said I didn’t want tells me none of them pay attention & tells me all I need to know. I definitely won’t be going back smh

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5

From the moment we stepped through the doors of Cajun Island, we felt the warmth and genuine care of the staff. In a time when we were grieving a loved one, the team went above and beyond to make our repast not just a meal, but a comforting gathering that honored our family’s memory.

Service: The staff greeted us with a sincere smile and a calm, attentive demeanor that helped ease the heaviness of the day. They handled everything— allowing us to focus on sharing stories and remembering our loved one. Their attention to detail was evident.

Food: The Cajun flavors were on point. Our crowd sang the praises of the pasta long after the event.

Overall Experience: Cajun Island turned a difficult day into a heartfelt celebration of life. Their great service, delicious food, and compassionate staff made all the difference. We left feeling grateful—not only for the wonderful meal but also for the kindness and support we received during such a sensitive time.

If you’re looking for a place that delivers authentic Cajun cuisine with a heart, Cajun Island in Columbus is the clear choice. Thank you for helping us honor our loved one with such grace and flavor.

I WOULD NEVER SPEND MY MONEY HERE AGAIN. I order about $100 worrh of food. The food was nasty and undone. The waitress checked on our table once. The kids screaming in the other row. The nasty floors. The lack professionalism, OH my!
The manager then told me the waitress charger me the wrong thing because she got me and the table besides me order mixed up.

We had the blackened chicken bow tie pasta. The flavor was so so good. They just need to pull back on the sugar a bit in my opinion, but adding hot sauce balanced it out. We also got crayfish gumbo with beans and rice and a side of shrimp and added hot sauce, mixing them all together. It was MAGICAL. The flavor was spot on. “Hitting” as the kids would say. Then–we got the blueberry cobbler cake they had. When I tell you I would fight someone to get that cake–WOW 10/10 would recommend. I give the service a 4.5 due to the long wait time, but it was worth it though. And the atmosphere of the place a 4. It’s cute but cluttered. I’m not mad though their food is really good & I would definitely be back!
