I grew up poor in Texas. That being said, food was a necessity not a luxury. This place, my goodness, was spot on with the serving size and flavor of their dishes. The staff, Gerald in the front and D doing the magic in the kitchen both showed me that they enjoy what they provide. To me, nothing prompts nostalgia like the food you grew up on. Everything was completely on point! Loved the place and it is definitely going to be a weekly stop for me and my woman.

Walked into the restaurant and was greeted by the owner. Fun and friendly. Food was amazing. Tried the Big Daddy’s Fried Chicken. Promise you will not be disappointed. Good seasoning and fried to perfection. Juicy but not greasy. We will be back next time we are in Ocala.

Three of us had breakfast there the other morning and it was really good. The coffee was only 1.99 each which is very inexpensive now days. I enjoyed the bacon and grits and eggs very much. You have a choice of biscuit or toast or dollar cakes for the bread . We recommend this establishment highly. Five stars all the way, and the young lady who took our order was super pleasant and professional. I like the decor a lot also. Try it you’ll like it.

Felt like I was in my Granny’s kitchen! Excellent service from the second I walked through the door, greeted with a warm welcome & given such kindness from my server KeeKee. She even brought out the BIG MAN himself, Gerald to make sure my 1 egg cooked omelet style w/cheese was EXACTLY what I wanted! The food is impeccable! Delicious biscuits & sausage gravy(I’m picky ab btw) phenomenal grits(I’m EXTRA picky ab btw) crispy thick bacon- cooked to PERFECTION! Annnnd yes my omelet style 1 egg w/cheese was FLAWLESS!! Ya’ll have a customer for life! Thanks for the amazing breakfast, and slow jams floating from the kitchen set the mood for PURE JOY!

Chick fil a service with terrible food. The greens was canned, the macaroni and cheese wasn’t cheesing & taste like cardboard . Best thing I tasted was the hot sauce. I ordered the fish and shrimp platter with collard greens and Mac 4 out of 10 only cause the service was great

Lord have mercy I think I just died and had lunch in heaven absolutely THE BEST food I’ve eaten at ANY restaurant here in Florida MADE FROM SCRATCH PIES ,CAKES this will be our go to spot the prices are more than fair German chocolate cake peach pie oxtails Mac and cheese no exaggeration AWARD winning and the service was the icing on the cake pretty lil waitresses with the friendly atmosphere and to the Queen who greeted me at entrance and who owns it as she cooks and bakes my gratitude to you for sharing your amazing food !!! If you haven’t tried this place you’re most definitely missing the best Florida has to offer! The best soul food ❤️ hubby wolfed the rest before I got those pictures
