Came in at 5:15 and all they had was pulled pork and sausage. Got a bunch of sides too; apple crisp is amazing, beans are solid, fries amazing, MAC and Cheese comfy, pulled pork ultra tender, sausage is scrumptious, both sauces are great and the spicy is moderate. 5 stars, the staff members told me of how the bbq is inspired by California, Kansas, and Texas. I really feel they have brought the four corners of the Wild West to our little town in Virginia.

First timer it’s a hidden gem. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. The price for my meal was phenomenal for $10 suppose to local bbq spots starting at $20ish for little amount of food.

Deon working the counter was very nice, great customer service as well. He seemed to really be dedicated to delivering a excellent customer experience and performing his job duties as well. I informed him I had never ate there before so wasn’t sure how I was supposed to order or exactly what to order. Deon then provided me prompt, enthusiastic information and soon after I ordered a brisket platter with 2 sides. It was a pleasure watching him cut up the brisket and maintain rapport building while his co-worker form the back came out to help handle my sides in which he to added to the customer experience and both provided the type of service you don’t get nowadays. The brisket and mild bbq are fantastic absolutely top tier, delicious, every bite worth it 100%. The macaroni was good as well, though I did wish it was slightly cheesier. The potato salad was another solid contender as I haven’t seen good healthy potato salad made like that since I was a kid, and it tasted good had maybe a dash too much mustard? If it was mustard unsure however nothing a little salt didn’t fix. More of a personal taste preference however all in all it was delicious and worth the stop. The restaurant itself is definitely a bit older but honestly I’m not here for decoration I’m here for food. Definitely will be eating here again.

Talented pit master knows his craft! Excellent smokey bbq, great bark, juicy pulled pork and delicious ribs. Loved the slightly sweet slaw, tender collards, mac and cheese and crispy fries! We ate inside the air conditioned dining room, but took home enough food that we’ll be very well fed for at least a day or two more! Terrific and friendly customer service. We have to try their catering someday, as we are about an hour and a half away but nobody does BBQ like this where we live.

Been driving by here for years and seeing this place and thought it was nothing more than a truckstop type diner, so I never stopped. But they’ve stepped up their social media presence and I decided to stop in to give them a try.
We went on a Sunday, around lunch time and it wasn’t very busy, though others came in while we were there. Tried the following:
Small Pulled pork sandwich – Meat looked great, but wasn’t very flavorful. The non-spicy BBQ sauce was slightly too vinegary.
Small chopped beef sandwich – Meat looked great, nice smoke look to it and a decent amount of smoke flavor too. Spicy BBQ sauce was decent. Would’ve been better with something else on it, perhaps slaw.
¼ Chicken – Nice looking smoke to the meat and decent flavor, though not too deep in smokey flavor. It wasn’t too dry; it was decent.
Baked Beans – Boring… not a lot of flavor, definitely not the “traditional” baked beans from a BBQ joint.
Potato Salad – Definitely would have been amazing if there was slightly more mayo and more seasoning, like salt & pepper.
Cole Slaw – Nice, nearly perfect!
Mac & Cheese – Pretty good, cheesy, flavorful.
Apple Crisp – Definitely no “crisp” at all to it, more on the very soft and mushy side. Resembled canned apples and cake mix baked together. I actually liked the flavor though.
Overall, it was OK, but nothing special. It was slightly better than I had expected all the years of riving by though. Worth a try, as I’m sure many will find it appealing.

I drive by this place all the time and never stopped there. We happened to be close by and we’re hungry so decided to stop by. It’s a hole in the wall establishment which is deceiving. The interior needs to be updated with an empty business next door. We both got the pulled pork and fries. The food was fresh and chopped right in front of us. Something I was not expecting. We were given our pulled pork first. While the French fries we had to wait on. I was pretty surprised by how good the pulled pork was. The French fries which were seasoned were okay. They just are not the type I like so it’s a personal preference. The prices are reasonable which align with the portion size. We would definitely come back.

Unfortunately I live a ways away from here so I don’t get by often. I drove a semi for years and always made it a point to stop by if I was on 15. I turned all my trucking buddies onto it and they still tell me when they stop to this day. I just told my roommate to stop by and try some on his way to front royal. Never had bad food or service. Love you guys. Keep doing what you’re doing

The guys at the counter were pleasant and helpful. The lune moved a bit slowed, but that was because the guys at the counter tended to each customer with detail. The atmosphere is an old-time BBQ diner. Now the food. The food was ok at best. The meat seemed to be from the fay ir days past. It was not fresh and was really dry. The sauce was pretty good, but I didn’t cancel out the meats’ poor quality. I wouldn’t be back, but thats just me.

Walking In to the business, you are first hit with the fabulous smell of barbecue. That Smokey sweet smell that makes you so hungry!
That was the end of the positive for me!
Everything in this place is filthy dirty, walls, floors, all of it!
The restrooms were littered with pieces of toilet paper on the floor as well as the wrappers from toilet paper rolls. The hand dryers are mediocre at best with no towels to be found. Quite honestly, I have been in back country out houses that were cleaner!
I can assure you that I would not attempt to eat here. Hopefully the kitchen is not as dirty as the rest of the place!

We stopped in for supper early on a Friday evening. Little restaurant with a cute interior (i noticed those curtains) that’s part of a truck stop. Dining area and kitchen were clean; bathrooms could be cleaner. Service was helpful, cheerful, and quick. Husband and i both got the 3 ribs plate with one side; husband got an extra side. Portions were generous—it took us 2 days to eat the ribs! We both enjoyed the greens but wished they had been more heavily seasoned (salt pork woulda been nice, but i understand the need for vegetarian options); hot sauce helped. The beans were standard baked beans from a can, which is a shame because the BBQ sauces are sooooo good and would make for some killer beans from scratch. We especially like the spicy sauce. The larger ribs were tender and juicy with a little pull to them. Really nice. The smaller, thinner ribs on the slab ends were a bit dry and tough… but still tasty! We ate every bite.
