At our Tucker, GA location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

(ONE of thee best Health Dept Scores in the whole neighborhood!!!)

When we walked in the tall, African Amer male cashier spoke right away! He was so polite and courteous! We ordered our food and he brought the tray to our table! This is an action I can tip for! He guided us through the best meal options and even upsold us with the drinks! I don’t know why the google reviews are so low but this place is very clean and neat. The warm atmosphere invited us to sit down and eat inside instead of sitting outside in the car. Our food arrived at the table hot and fresh! The batter on the fish was too thick but it was still delicious!

I give THIS place a SOLID 5 STARS , for service, food and atmosphere!!

Pulled into the drive thru at 1:45. I car was in front of me. That car waited 5 minutes at the speaker be fore they were able to place a order. I pulled up to the speaker and was told to hold, after 2 cars pulled out of line and a minimum af 7 minutes I got place my order. I pulled around to a empty drive thru window nobody in line ahead of me. I sat and the window for a couple of minutes. Paid for my food at 1:58. Finally for my food at 2:13. 15 minutes after I paid. So it took almost 30 minutes to get food with only 1 car in front of me. Food was slight warmer than luke warm. Very disappointed.

I went here on 9/23/2024. I got a big fish sandwich and a 3pc fish plate with fries and okra. The order didn’t take long. The food was fresh and delicious. I started eating at this restaurant later in life. My bro used to get his kids the family pack when I used to visit him in my 20’s.

Pleasantly surprised at the quality and speed of this location in Tucker Ga. Normally, you have to wait on the great Captain D’s food. When it came out in mere minutes I thought no way will this be fresh and hot. Wow, I was very pleased with my meal. If they would fix the drink machine so it doesn’t spew soda at you, my next meal there could be closer to Perfect.

9 minutes for hush puppies & a slice of cheesecake. The manager of the day can’t handle if things aren’t perfect. The lady in front of me needed a refund (there was an issue getting that to her). I just needed my hush puppies & slice of cheese cake. The hush puppies were ready to be bagged, all they had to do was get my cheesecake from the freezer. The lady behind me was missing items from her order. I thought she was going to crack while she was “explaining” the deficiencies of her crew. (Totally unprofessional btw) Oh well, another one bites the dust.

I went here before an everyone was nice but im not going back anymore. When i pulled the staff was outside. The Manager clothes were dirty from working she came to the window in full converstion with her other coworkers i wasnt sure she was talking to me.Another came from the back like he just washed his hands.i waited for my food to be fresh but it wasnt that fresh they gave me one hush puppie which was cold and hard. I didnt eat it i ask the cashier when they started giving one hush puppie she didnt look up an said last week. The Manager had asked me what condiments i wanted but when the girl handed me my food there was nothing. I keep giving Captain D’s a chance an they keep letting me down so i decided im good on Captain D’s . I went all out my way to.come here because the service was so good the first time but not The second.

Haven’t been to Captain D’s for a while. My baked potato was not cooked, the fork wouldn’t even penetrate it, didn’t get my cocktail sauce, fish tasted weird. The okra was good and the hush puppies. I should have just ordered sides. Very disappointed

Cashier whom I won’t name but corporate will know who was working on this date, 10/13/2025, @14:42 order#0066.

The female cashier was agitated after I placed my order and then seconds later I returned to the counter to request a breadstick. I heard her say I wish customer would get their order right. So I asked if I had done something wrong and asked to pay for the breadstick. She told me, that messes up their inventory and the store thinks they are stealing when the added item is not put on the order in the beginning.
All she had to do was charge me for one breadstick instead of causing an embarrassing scene in front of the 2 cooks and a waiting customer, or make a notation on the transaction receipt, instead of embarrassing your customer over a $2 breadstick. Bad customer service. I won’t go back to that store #3748 again.

Plus the garbage wasn’t covered and gnats were all over the trash. Dirty tables with only 2 customers seated including myself.

Thats a fairly new Captain D’s, they place should be looking brand new and clean.

I did speak to one of the cooks that was on break when I was leaving and I told him my fish was good.

To me customer service means everything. I love Captain D’s, but I do not like bad customer service. What if I had been an corporate worker and witnessed that type of behavior?

Store hours and website says they close at 10pm and I pulled up at 9:27pm and the person at the drive through said they stop taking orders @ 9:00pm. A whole hour before they actually close. Lazy people
