Fern Thai delivered on flavor and service. Their Pad Thai was above and beyond what one would expect from any other Thai restaurant. I had their version of a sweet and sour soup with pork ribs that just melted in my mouth. We were a party of 4, and we were seated in the back room that was like an atrium. The glass roof and the view of the kitchen made for a great dining experience. The music when we first sat down was calm and cool like a lounge, but halfway through our meal some high energy Lady Gaga completely changed the vibe. Not in a bad way, just different. All in all, I’d recommend this place as an elevated option of Thai food classics and new dishes that you don’t typically find elsewhere.

The food here was amazing! Great taste and huge portions! The pad see ew was my favorite! Our amazing waiter Tony made sure we were taken care of and even helped us get an off-menu drink (non-alcoholic strawberry daiquiris). Would definitely come back to try the curry dishes!

Pad Kee Mao was really good! We ordered level 3 spice and it was actually pretty spicy, in a good way. It was full of flavor and very satisfying. I’d definitely order it again next time.
As for the crispy garlic chicken, it was just okay. Around 40% of the pieces were a bit too hard and dry. The portion size itself wasn’t small, but the fried coating was quite thick, so it felt like there wasn’t as much actual chicken inside. We ended up leaving some of the fried coating because it was too heavy. Overall, it was pretty average and probably not something we would order again.

Good thai food, portions are smaller than I expected seeing the price but then again I have to realize that I’m in Bellevue. I always get a 3 on the 1-5 spicy scale and it’s always the perfect amount of kick. The real steal of the show at Fern Thai are the drinks. Would definitely recommend trying out their signature drinks, they’re quite fun.

order the crispy garlic chicken and duck curry. they’re phenomenal, as is the entire menu. i’ve been coming here with my friends and family for many years. better to come with a reservation, they’re popular (and for good reason). very cute and cozy restaurant, with outdoor seating in the summer.

Crispy Garlic chicken was flavorful. Pad Thai Boran with tofu was tasty. Most underrated item on the menu is their Rotis aka scallion pancakes. Crab fried rice was great too. We had to wait for 30 mins on a Friday evening which was kinda expected.

Came here on a Monday afternoon, we were seated right away & it was pretty empty since we beat the lunchtime rush. There was a sign that states a 90 min limit for groups 6 and below. I am guessing this is because this restaurant is quite small.
Soooooooo something to point out because it just has to be said, when we were seated – our table was not balanced so it was quite wobbly. The host took note of this immediately and he had something prepared to fix it. Now that’s customer service! Let’s hear it for NO WOBBLY TABLES! lol. Okay, I’m done.
For my drink I ordered a Thai Iced Tea – yums as usual.
For my food, I ordered the Tofu Pad See Ew – 1 star spice – it was good but it tasted a bit burnt. Don’t get me wrong, it tasted good – just didn’t taste how it usually does – this could be a part of the Fern recipe.
Overall, it’s a cute lunch spot that I would definitely go to again. I will try their other entrees since I saw they have tofu options for all their entrees (pretty cool!)

Had a last-minute dinner in Old Town Bellevue and stumbled on Fern Thai — what a find! We lucked out getting a table without a reservation on a Saturday night, so definitely book ahead if you can.
The vibe is fun and lively, but the food is the real star. We started with the fresh rolls (I’m picky about those — these were perfect) and that peanut sauce… amazing.
The garlic crispy chicken was tender, flavorful, and lightly breaded — just how I like it. The Crying Tiger steak salad was another winner — steak cooked perfectly, super tender.
Even the Thai iced tea stood out — balanced and not overly sweet.
Cute décor, great energy, fair prices — I’d recommend Fern Thai for any occasion. Can’t wait to go back!

Great Thai food! It’s a bit on the pricier side in my opinion but it’s in a nice area and the portions are quite generous. The food is extremely flavorful and the drinks are good too! I love coming here with my friends, it’s always really nice getting to walk around old town.

This place is super cozy and amazing! The Tom Yum is the best I’ve tried so far in Bellevue. The fried duck in curry sauce is the softest, most tender, and incredibly flavorful — just perfect! The staff is very attentive, polite, and also really nice-looking. Definitely one of my favorite spots now!
