This location has taken a bit of a downward turn of late. Many of the parking spots have broken computer ordering screens, or the systems have been ripped out entirely. The last two times I’ve come here, I’ve been served burned hot dogs. One was completely charred. I hope this location experiences better times, because hot dogs and drive-in (not simply drive-thru) restaurants are an important piece of Americana and an essential element of American society.

I went to get a R44 cup of ice I tell the lady oh I have .07 cents to go with the 10 I gave her. She gives me my ice but not my $9 and I drive off without realizing because I have to go back to work. I have called and called the store and no one has answered the phone. I want my money back.

Over $30 was spent at this location I received no napkins, or any other condiments. I would have assumed there would be, due to the things I ordered. They were supposed to put tots in 1 bag instead of fries. I told the guy I would get the fries…Out of the blue he responded I can’t just give you fries. That comment made me feel stereotyped. I was going to pay for them. I definitely could afford it, but due to his attitude I refused and told him to throw them in the trash. Also, my Hot Dog was placed on two different buns. I would have preferred they informed me they were out of the original. I would have chose something else. I asked for a manager or a lead. They told me there was no one available at this location. I noticed a woman who looked as if she was in charge wearing a gray shirt. I will definitely not choose this location again. <1 person preferred fries not tots>

Unfortunately, I waited for 30 minutes for a mobile order. After seeing multiple cars arrive after I got there and receive their food, I finally got out of my car and walked up to the door to ask about my order. The employee was friendly, but that was the only positive aspect of my visit. She walked inside and my order was right there on the counter. Not sure how long my order had been sitting there, but all of the food was cold.

I placed a mobile order and checked in on the app on time. I waited for 20 minutes and didn’t get my food. I had to CALL THE STORE THREE TIMES in a row for them to finally pick up. I had to tell them I’d been sitting for over 20 minutes and still hadn’t gotten my food while I watched people pull up next to me and leave repeatedly. The carhop very apathetically said “sorry for the wait” as if they didn’t just waste more than half an hour of my time total. Terrible customer service

We sat in the drive thru for 10 minutes after the person in front of us ordered got their food and drove on. No comment from the box finally a man comes out and says the drive thru is broken and to pull up to a stall which we did while other people continued to get served in the drive thru after us. The women who did finally answer in the stall spoke so soft we couldn’t hear her and she had us repeat several times. Only to take 30 minutes total to get our food and the order was wrong.

MANAGEMENT this was on 2/14/26 @ 1230-1pm DO BETTER!

I didn’t realize that this sonic didn’t have an actual drive thru like the sonics I have been too. It was really hard to understand the man in the drive thru and I almost wanted to cancel my order and leave bc I felt so bad for making them come out in the rain, and I have a truck that is very hard to pull into the stalls,I have had issues with my own personal large truck and the sonic booths. I had my male partner hit the side menu with his truck before bc the truck was too big. I am on a business trip as well and my service dog in traing was in my truck. I was getting food for her as well. We sat out in the rain soaked from being out in the rain all night. I ordered 2 combos ,a burrito, the toast grilled sandwich and French toast sticks. I recieved no napkins, no maple syrup , but a ton of ketchup. I let my dog Luna have the burrito and sandwich, both were covered in cheese and I just wanted the meat off of it but I also have a thing about cheese. I dont like it all over my meat and bread. I didn’t ask for no cheese bc again I couldn’t understand the man very good and i felt bad that i didnt do a good job ordering, and they wouldnt make iced coffee for me. And i wanted another drink option but felt inclined to keep it to myself so my dog and i could eat ,bc we were starving from not eating much on our trip from over an hour from st louis ,and our walk we had in the cemetery this morning and from shopping @dollartree. So I only came here bc raising canes wasn’t open yet it was still morning and they dont open until later. This has been the 1st time in probably 10 yrs that I have had fast food in kirkwood. I was really disappointed at the most populated and only actual drive thru place was a drive thru coffee place. When I saw the line for it ,I thought it was a bank and everyone was getting $ out. Then I just realized they are just getting coffee. In my opinion, in the morning people are already late or in a hurry as it is ,how do you not try and save money and convince and make your coffee @home. The outside trash cans were also full of trash, and things that are not even sonic trash. I picked up some trash and took 2 of the card board drink carrier that looked unused ,they can be reused or recycle ♻️. I picked up straws that were right next to the drive thru area , but I was appaled at all the cigarette buts on the ground. It is 2025 you dont know how to properly dispose of a cigarette but by now. With all the people who vape now ?

Food is great, I normally don’t have a problem with drive thru, but today when I tried to order from a parking kiosk, the guy taking my order was rude, trying to upsell me, acted like he couldn’t understand me, and refused to let me order what I wanted off the menu. I just drove away. Upsetting service from a favorite chain, guess I’ll be going to Raising Cane’s next door
