We had a great dining experience at Council Oak Steaks & Seafood.
We made our dinner reservation through the website, and everything went smoothly from the start. The hostesses were welcoming and seated us at a beautiful table by the window with an incredible view of the Hard Rock Guitar.

The food was outstanding, as was the service. We started with the Caesar salad and shrimp cocktail, which was excellent. The Sea Bass was amazing, and the New York Strip was perfectly prepared.

Our waiter, Michael W, along with his assistant, took great care of us throughout the evening and made the experience even more enjoyable.
We will definitely be back for more dining experiences.

Absolutely an incredible meal but their heart for service was very clear! Loved every morsel and their suggestions were genuine and their preferences seemed very unbiased

The tomahawk steak was ideal for sharing with the most tender bits of meat that melted in your mouth

Don’t skip out on the octopus appetizer as it was definitely one of the most talked about dishes

Desserts were delightful though. I don’t feel as though you have to leave room for them.

Loved every minute. Can’t wait to visit again!

Love this place! I’ve been here a few times and never had a bad experience. Came in recently for our anniversary, had a perfect time as always! The service is exceptional, the food is amazing! Definitely worth every penny. This time we sat in the bar area and the classic rock band that was playing was outstanding! We shared the braised beef and an 8 oz.filet, loaded baked potato and veggies, every bite was unbelievable. Great drink specials too! Our server asked if we were celebrating anything and I mentioned that it was our anniversary. After our meal, she came out with an amazing chocolate dessert and the band even announced our anniversary! What a special touch to an already perfect dinner date!
Thank you team Council Oak! Keep up the great work. We’ll definitely be back!

Classic elegance, outstanding food, and an unforgettable atmosphere

We dined at Council Oak Steaks & Seafood, located inside the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood, as a party of seven, and the experience was exceptional from start to finish.

From the moment you walk in, the restaurant feels elegant, warm, and timeless. The ambiance is beautiful without being pretentious, perfect for a group dinner, a special occasion, or simply enjoying a high-quality meal while staying at or visiting the Hard Rock.

The food was absolutely amazing. Every dish was prepared with care and attention to detail. The flavors were rich yet refined, the presentation was beautiful, and everything tasted exactly how a top-tier steak and seafood restaurant should. Even with a larger group, every plate came out perfectly executed.

The service was professional, attentive, and well-paced, no small feat for a table of seven. We felt taken care of without being rushed, which made the entire evening even more enjoyable.

This restaurant is a reminder that classic fine dining never goes out of style. Beautiful space, outstanding food, and a memorable experience inside an iconic location.

Highly recommend.

We have been frequenting Council Oak for many years, and it continues to be one of our top dining experiences at the Hard Rock Hollywood! We always start with the seafood tower, oysters Rockefeller, or some incredible king crab legs, always fresh and delicious. The chopped wedge is our go-to salad to share, and for entrées we can never go wrong with either the New York strip or their amazing Stone Crabs when in season. Plus, lots of others. See pictures posted from our last few times visiting last month.

We were thrilled to meet their new bartender, Margarita (formerly from Kuro). What an absolutely fantastic addition to the Council Oak team! Her cocktails are perfectly crafted and her hospitality is top-notch. Makes one of the best Espresso Martinis in town.

We were in this past Friday night and loved that they are trying out new live bands. The one performing that evening was phenomenal. They should definitely be a permanent fixture!

We cannot wait to come back for more great music, fabulous drinks from Margarita, and another delicious meal. The service is always outstanding, no matter who is taking care of us. Council Oak continues to impress every single time!

Very nice-looking restaurant that is starting to go downhill with the steaks and food. I ordered a filet which was cooked to perfection but lacked flavor in quality and taste. The French onion soup is presented nice with baked cheese and again poor flavoring.
The biggest disappointment is that this place used to be great for a sophisticated dining experience, which is no longer the case. The main dining room is being brought down by the lack of customers being allowed to enter without proper attire. People with golf apparel, and baseball caps seem to be the allowed norm now. Why bother getting dressed up looking for a nice meal, when you can just go to the buffet area?
I have been going to this restaurant for the past 5 years and will probably not recommend it fine dining anymore. The table service is very good, and the servers are dressed better than the customers. The food is just average, not worth paying for at a premium price.

I must say that my friend and I had the most AMAZING experience with Alena last night at Council Oak. We decided to sit at the bar and from Alena’s greeting we knew we made the best decision. She greets every guest with a huge smile and personality as well as offers up suggestions for cocktails and dining. In just watching Alena you can see that she is a very professional and experienced bartender. The care she takes into ensuring the perfect blend and presentation are with every cocktail shows she not only is great at her craft but that she also gets tremendous joy. I enjoyed a fantastic Lychee cocktail and my friend a glass of wine. Then the most amazing Seafood Tower that had the freshest Crab, Lobster and Shrimp. Not only was the presentation amazing but the flavor of everything spectacular. After dining we decided to spend some more time enjoying the property but had to visit Alena once again and this time for dessert. We enjoyed coffee with Baileys and Beignet. Everything was wonderful and we look forward to coming back and enjoying Alena’s company and Council Oaks amazing dishes.

A must stop! We went before stopping in for a concert at the Live. Ordered the seafood tower for two, a Cesar salad and a filet and a baked potato. So yummy. Everything fresh. The only thing I would have changed is the salad. It seemed like it was premade and had loads of cheese on it. I prefer when they add it at the table as you choose the amount. Our server was on point and the place was crowed. Not an empty table.

When you are ready to celebrate a birthday or anniversary or a special date, you might want to make reservations here at this elegant restaurant where they have live jazz music. Last Friday evening, they were playing Alicia Keys hits, and it was outstanding. The vibe here is fabulous, and the dress code is casino casual. The decor is upscale and inviting. We were seared near the entertainers, who were fantastic.

We had been at Hard Rock earlier attending the Teddy Swims concert with friends and came here for a late dinner. My daughter and I shared a prime USDA beef T-bone steak. It was prepared perfectly! Juicy and tender. We added Lobster Mac n Cheese, Council Oak Bacon, Calamari, and fries. All of it was delicious! We also ordered our favorite drinks. Our server was Miguel, who is very knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. We were very impressed with all things Council Oak and can’t wait to go back again.

We parked at the Lucky Street Parking Garage, which was the closest garage.

Visited Council Oaks on a recommendation from another couple in the elevator. We enjoyed our date and the live music on stage.

In short: Council Oaks is a perfectly fine steakhouse experience.

Noteworthy details:
– If you’re into dry aged beef, they have several great options.
– Good balance of different items on the menu, all in that traditional American steakhouse realm.
– Nice variety for bread service.
– The iPad cocktail menu will suck you in, like it did for me, and I wasn’t mad about it. Blackberry pisco sour was a nice treat. (See picture)

One nit picky thing: I am a potter, and when we make dinnerware, we think about how it will be used in service. The design of the steak knife drove me crazy because it would only rest on the bread plate. The round handle caused it to slide around on the rim of the oblong plate they serve the NY strip on. It would either fall onto the table or slide onto the dish, getting messy with food.

This was a nice change of pace from our typical Hard Rock routine.
