I was quite surprised by the quality of this place. I enjoyed my meal so much. The short rib is great. I loved the service – very attentive and caring. I love the decor of the place – very nostalgic, yet modern. They have a lovely unsweetened iced tea that has a great taste – ugh I love tea!

Very cute atmosphere. The coffee was good and the food was hit or miss. Pancakes were VERY dry. The Leo was decent but the eggs weren’t very good. Smoked Salmon was excellent and it came with a pretty tasty latke. Milkshake was medium and wouldn’t order it again. It can get very busy for brunch so would recommend getting here early.

My partner and I walked in here around 10am on Sunday and were seated at the counter immediately. We ordered a couple of coffee’s and in classic diner fashion free refills! Our order was simple one breakfast burrito with chorizo and two eggs over easy with sourdough toast and turkey bacon. Both items hit the spot and weren’t overly expensive. This place gets busy so make sure to get in early. Also keep in mind that the hostess with queue waiting customers behind your seats at the bar which can be uncomfortable. I loved this spot and will certainly make an effort to stop again when I’m in the area.

Old John’s is a local gem, and one of the absolute best. The story and the history of this place is so unique and it’s infused in the culture of the people who work there. Everyone is so lovely, so kind and they make really good coffee!!! You can’t go wrong with the Old John’s burger – it’s delicious.

We love this place. Visited here the 1st time in August and it was between the busy rush. If you’re going during lunch time, get a reservation. We were able to squeeze in at the bar this last time we went. The service was wonderful, quick and friendly. The drinks were picture perfect and tasted as heavenly as they looked. The food was so sensational. We loved the fries! I ordered a Greek Salad with Chicken and it was the best Greek Salad ever! They had the pepperoncini’s cut up small and mixed in the salad with pickled onions, pitted kalamata olives, and fried chick peas. The chicken was thinly sliced and grilled perfectly. We plan to make this a regular stop when we are in the city.

A classic NY luncheonette. Good food! Quick service! Fun vibe! Real old school menu with Dr Browns and I like that. French toast and the ham frittata. Sourdough toast was good too real nice. They also had a good music playlist playing which was good

Old John’s Luncheonette is such a classic New York gem. The moment you walk in, you get that cozy, old-school diner feel with a touch of modern charm. The menu has something for everyone whether you’re in the mood for a hearty breakfast, a burger, or a comfort-food favorite like the tuna melt (which is one of the best I’ve ever had).

The service is warm and friendly, and you can tell this place has a lot of history and love behind it. Everything feels homemade and done with care. It’s the kind of spot you can come to before a show at Lincoln Center, grab brunch with friends, or just enjoy a relaxed meal on your own. Definitely one of those neighborhood staples that makes New York special.

We’ve were looking for a quick dinner before Met Opera and found this little gem of place. Saul was very friendly and professional.

We started with mojitos and very delicious burrata caprese. I had Flounder de Limone which was absolutely amazing and my husband had Brisket Pot Roast. Both flounder and pot roast which just felt apart. We finished our meals with just right sweet Tres Leches Cake.

This place will be our regular stop before or after the Met Opera!!

I highly recommend a reservation.

Huge shout out to Rebecca! Incredible service and so friendly! Hope to see her again next time I visit!

Impeccable vibe; great decor, clean, classic 80s music playlist, and kind and attentive staff!

Selection of cocktails put a fun twist on classics without being difficult to understand. Food options have fresh sandwiches with an array of fillings and delicious entrees.

Had the hibiscus marg w/ mezcal. Fragrant and light smokiness, really refreshing. The Steak Frites was cooked really well despite some fatty pieces, crispy fries and great portion size. Salsa verde was slightly liquidy but still tasty.

Definitely recommend lunch here, bar seating is supreme.
