I must say, I have given this place plenty of tries and 98% of the time it’s a FAIL!! Last night on the way home from work I was famished. I stopped at Popeyes on Diamond Hill Rd in Woonsocket and ordered a two piece combo (I specifically asked for two wings) and the shrimp tackle box. I would have one for tonight and the other for lunch tomorrow. There was a bit of a wait even though no one was there. I was hopeful that that meant the food would be fresh. However, when I got home it was nothing but a horrid mess of old, completely dried out food. It looked like it had been sitting under the heat lamp since they opened. Nothing was fresh! They gave me a breast and two dried up blocks that turned out to be the wings. The fries I ordered with it, dried out to the point I couldn’t bite them. The biscuits were so old they weren’t even the cream color they’re supposed to be. Felt more like hockey pucks. Then the shrimp tackle box. There was a meager amount of “shrimp” and 80% of that tiny bit in there was all fried and dried up tail shells. I mean literally. The end piece of the shrimp, dried out and fried. I was livid!!!! I hate that place so much. I hadn’t gone in almost a year because it was such a bad experience last time as well. KFC downtown is isn’t much better but since this was on the way home (and the next closest Popeyes is 30 min away) I figured I’d take the chance. Ugh worst food ever. Bad enough they’ve raised the prices so much recently but then to get inedible food too? Smh people don’t bother. I’ve gone there after they’ve opened to get sucky food too so it doesn’t seem to matter what time of day. Avoid Popeyes in Woonsocket. In the photos you can see how dried up the chicken is. The other two fried pieces next to the fries are the shrimp shells they fried and gave me. You can see I broke apart one of them showing you the shell. Totally unacceptable.

I was in the mood for a pie and my friend told me to go to Popeyes. I ordered five pies and when I got home, I looked at the pies and one of them had a white film and black spots on it. I called the phone number and the phone rang and rang and rang and I went online and they agreed to refund the cost of the two pies. I just wanted to call and let them know to check the remaining pies that they had before anyone else gets it and get sick, but I was unable to do that.

I love Popeyes but this location is a disgrace to the logo. The customer service is horrible most of the time with all the staff. I asked for a fresh spicy chicken sandwich being that the last visit, I did not receive fresh food. The lady at the window says “our food is always fresh” with an attitude like she was annoyed A PAYING CUSTOMER ASKED FOR FRESH FOOD. The manager finished my order but he seemed upset I asked for fresh food as well. I was given a greasy chicken sandwich that seems like they just dropped in the fryer for 2 seconds just to say it’s “fresh” when it’s not you just re-dropped old chicken with so much oil and the sandwich isn’t even hot. Wish i could go back and get a refund but unfortunately i am on a short lunch for work. Worst Popeyes I’ve gone to. Burgers can be greasy not CHICKEN.

Absolutely terrible experience. I went to this Popeyes and clearly ordered 3 wraps with only chicken, cheese, and lettuce. I wasn’t given a receipt, and when I checked my food, it was completely wrong. I went back and spoke directly to the manager, who claimed to fix it, but when I got home (a 20-minute drive), the order was still wrong. When I returned again, the manager accused me of lying and refused to remake the food since I didn’t have a receipt they never gave me. When I called afterward, the staff were rude, swore at me, and called me names. Completely unprofessional, disrespectful, and unacceptable behavior. I wasted time, money, and gas for food I couldn’t even eat. Avoid this location at all costs.
Edit to add: they offered to “fix” the issue by offering a $5 coupon and then did nothing, I never even got the coupon.

they didnt give us the right order at all for 50 dollars, we ordered the hot ones bundle and all they gave us were two sandwiches which were different from what was in the bundle because we wanted to get a separate sandwich for someone else, the spicy chicken strips, and they asked for a side?? they gave us fries and two drinks??! the person taking our order couldnt even speak proper English nonetheless understand it (clearly..) and we asked for a cheesecake that they never gave us, plus we didnt get the receipt so we dont even know what we were paying for. we are never coming back here, plus the food was cold, bland, and tasted like a salt bath of spice. it was never like this here even when the ppl also spoke broken english….? and without the receipt we cant do anything about it, wth??!!!

Food is good when you know the employees are wearing gloves. Instead of the cashier I saw take my order without gloves, take a piece of chicken off the rack, and eat it. He then licked his fingers and continued to be an employee without washing. I’ve been here many times so just know that English is not well understood which is fine unless you have a question or concern. The Chicken is good only when you can confirm employees are wearing gloves, washing hands, and adhering to normal health standards. Oh and you know…not eating chicken and licking their fingers and then continuing to bag items.

EDIT: do not use the drive through. The system is so quiet you can barely hear anything and end up repeating your order multiple times. You can barely hear them confirming your order and you just have to pull up assuming they got the order right. The reality is that they didn’t hear anything and the order won’t be repeated back. You just have to pull up to the window with the very unrealistic assumption that the order is correct.
You can try many times to speak to a manager to report problems, but they don’t understand so they just hang up.
Tried reporting to the BBB and they aren’t even registered according to my research.
I will spend extra effort to get this reported.
I was in Afghanistan for 8.5 months and my food and service was 5+ stars in a war zone. I WILL be reporting to the BBB and the health department.
Stop being disgusting and follow general hygiene standards. Just because there is a language barrier doesn’t mean you can forget all hygiene regulations. DO BETTER or don’t do it at all please. Be advised the food is absolutely disgusting also. Not worth it at all. The owner should be ashamed because this is a regular occurrence. Good luck if you go here.

Ordered tenders, coleslaw, cheesy bites and a biscuit. Coleslaw was good, however, the size of the small for the price wasn’t worth it. Cheesy bites were greasy and more like smashed cheesy bites as they were flat. Biscuits here are always good and the chicken was yummy. I didn’t like there special sauce. Reminded me too much of tacos, so I opted to eat my tenders plain. If I order from here again, going to try the honey mustard sauce instead.

This place is horrible. Biscuits were hard and inedible, the mac and cheese was severely old and chunky, and when we asked for replacements we got told no and “that’s just how it is”. The mashed potatoes were cold and tasteless. The chicken wasn’t even hot either. Waste of $40 on 5 pieces of chicken total and sides we couldn’t even eat.
